Sony Xperia X and Xperia XA launched in India for Rs. 48990 and Rs. 20990

Sony has launched Xperia X and Xperia XA, the company’s latest smartphone in the new ‘X Series’ in India. Both these were announced at the MWC earlier this year. The Xperia X has a 5-inch 1080p screen, is powered by a Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 SoC, has a fingerprint sensors on the power button and a 23-megapixel rear camera with Predictive Hybrid Autofocus that lets you choose your subject and then predicts its motion.

We spotted Lyf branding at multiple mobile showrooms in Bangalore and Chennai and even spotted this poster at a store in Bangalore. Previously Lyf handsets could be purchased only at Reliance Digital Xpress or a Digital Xpress mini stores across the country and you required an invite from a Reliance employee in order to join the limited Jio Lyf Preview. From our limited testing , Jio 4G could be one of the fast mobile networks in India and we saw download speeds reaching almost 70Mbps which is impressive.

NVIDIA introduced GeForce GTX 1080, the company’s top-end gaming graphics card earlier this month. Now the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition is now available for purchase in India through several retailers. It is based on new Pascal architecture and is built on TSMC’s 16nm FinFET process. It has support for DirectX 12, Vulkan graphics APIs and is designed to drive display devices beyond 5K including HDR as well as delivering the performance required for immersive VR.

Datawind tops Indian tablet market with 34.2% market share in Q1 2016: CMR

A total of 0.91 million tablets were sold in India, recording a 7% growth over the last quarter of CY 2015, according to CMR’s India Quarterly Tablet PC Market Review, 1Q CY 2016. The report said that 4G launches will increase sales of large screen smart connected devices, including tablets, for video content consumption, leading to market stabilization. Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Sivakasi and Villupuram

Airtel has launched its 4G LTE services in Sivakasi and Villupuram in Tamilnadu. It was the first operator to launch 4G in Tamilnadu back in June 2015. It was launched in Chidambaram, Sriperumbudur and Karaikudi in the state last month and is already available in Coimbatore, Erode, Hosur, Madurai, Pondicherry, Salem, Tirunelveli, Tirupur, Trichy, Vellore, Cuddalore, Ambur, Rajapalayam, Kovilpatti, Periyanaicken-palayam (Tp), Namakkal and Gudiyatham.
