Lava has launched P7, the company’s latest smartphone. It has a 5-inch FWVGA display, is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), which will be upgradable to Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) in the future. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera that also has an LED flash for capturing better selfies even in low lighting conditions. Mumbai Central will now be the first station to benefit from Google’s new initiative and starting tomorrow passengers using Mumbai Central will be able access high speed internet.

Vodafone has started offering 4G-ready SIM cards in Delhi & NCR region through Vodafone stores, ahead of 4G roll out in the circle. It will be based on 1800MHz FDD-LTE band 3, which the company acquired last year. Back in October last year it promised to roll out 4G services in Delhi/NCR region by December, but it got delayed. Samsung has launched its new Gear VR Powered by Oculus at an event in India, as expected. It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy Note5, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge smartphones, is 22% lighter than previous Gear VR Innovator Edition and has an improved touchpad that provides easier control to access films, gaming, 360 degree video and experiential content available for Gear VR. Teewe creator CREO (formerly Mango Man) today announced that it has secured $3 million (Rs. 20.4 crores approximately) funding from Sequoia Capital, Beenext Ventures and India Quotient. It said that it will be creating Android-based operating system and a smartphone that will be launched later this year. It launched its second generation Teewe 2 media streaming stick last year.
