After teasing the launch of new smartphone with dual rear cameras in India in September, Xiaomi today sent of invites for the launch of the smartphone in the country on September 5th at an event in New Delhi. The company says it will be Flagship Dual Camera smartphone, but it did not reveal the name of the phone yet. This will likely be the Mi 5X that was introduced in China last month.

Vivo has launched Y69, the company’s latest mid-range selfie-focused smartphone with a 16-megapixel front-facing camera with soft flash in India. It packs a 5.5-inch HD 2.5d curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor and a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, similar to the Y66 that was launched earlier this year, but this runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat) and has a fingerprint sensor on the front. It got a Rs. 4000 price cut last month, now the phone has received Rs. 5000 price cut in the country, so it has got Rs. 9000 price cut in 2 months of launch. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has entered into strategic alliances with Ola and Uber that will provide passengers the option to hire these cabs at select airports. Passengers will now be able to book both Ola and Uber cabs at five airports – Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow and Bhubaneswar airports which are run AAI. Nokia 6 went on sale in India today for Rs. 14,999, exclusively on Amazon at 12PM today. HMD Global just announced that the phone sold out in less than a minute in the first flash sale, same thing that happened at the first sale in China. After $200 price cut in the U.S. HTC has reduced price of VIVE VR system in India by Rs. 16,000, four months after the launch in the country. It includes wireless VR controllers, room scale movement, and Head Mounted Display featuring a built in camera.

LG unveiled the 2017 range of K-series phones back in December last year. Now the K8 2017 is available from offline stores, according to Mumbai-based retailer Mahesh Telecom. It has a 5-inch HD 2.5D curved glass display and also has a fingerprint sensor, but the Indian variant has a 1.25GHz quad-core processor, which could be MediaTek MT6737 SoC, instead of Snapdragon 425. It runs on old Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) instead of Android 7.0 (Nougat) in the Snapdragon version.
HMD global introduced the Nokia 6 along with its other Android smartphones in India back in June. It started registrations for the sale last month. It will go on sale the country at 12PM exclusively on Amazon.in, as it had promised. Only those who have registered for the sale are eligible to get the phone today and can register for the sale on August 30th. Xiaomi has launched its Mi Business Backpack and Mi Crewneck T-shirt, the company’s latest Mi Ecosystem products in India, months after OnePlus launched its Gear lifestyle products such as Travel Messenger Bag and Backpack in the country on its official site. The Mi Business Backpack is different from the Mi Basic Shoulder Bag that we had unboxed last year. After teasing the phone, Moto has finally sent out invites for the launch of its Moto G5S Plus smartphone in India on August 29th exclusively on Amazon.in. It was introduced earlier this month and has 13-megapixel dual rear cameras with selective focus mode for portraits, adding blurred background effect, selective black and white coloring, replace background mode and more and an improved 8-megapixel front camera with flash.

Vivo just sent out invites for the launch V7+, its upcoming smartphone in the ‘V series’ and the successor of last year’s V5 Plus in India on September 7th in India. The invite says Get Ready to Capture Clear Shot Clear Moment and also says that Redefine the selfie experience with the revolutionary selfie camera that reveals that it will be a selfie-focused smartphone, similar to the predecessor. It also shows minimal bezels, but we have to wait to find out how the original phone is.
