Microsoft has started taking pre-orders for its Xbox One S gaming console in India. It was introduced back in 2016 and is 40% smaller than the original Xbox One. It can be placed horizontally or vertically with an optional stand, supports 4K video streaming and also offers High Dynamic Range (HDR) support for video and gaming for richer and more luminous colors in games.

Xiaomi today started its Diwali sale on its partner sites and has also announced that it will hold its Diwali with Mi sale from September 27th to 29th on mi.com. In the sale it will have Re. 1 flash sale, offer discounts on smartphones and accessories, and will also allow you to redeem Mi tokens for discount coupons (Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs. 200 and Rs. 500) and F-codes for phones starting September 26th at 12PM. Sony Mobile has launched Xperia XA1 Plus, a large version of the Xperia XA1 that was launched earlier this year. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p display with ultra-narrow borders on the sides, is powered an same Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P20 processor, runs on Android 7.0 (Nougat), has a 23-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Hybrid Auto-Focus and a 8-megapixel auto focus front-facing camera. Western Digital Corporation has launched new SanDisk Dual Drive with micro-USB and USB 2.0 ports for Android smartphones and tablets. It is the successor of the SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive that was launched back in 2014, but this has a more compact design. Lenovo-owned Moto launched the Moto E4 Plus smartphone with a 5000mAh battery in India only in Iron Grey and Fine Gold colors. Today it has launched the Oxford Blue color variant of the smartphone. Other specifications of the phone are same, including a 5.5-inch HD screen, fingerprint sensor on the front, Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and dedicated SIM and microSD slots. Sony Mobile has cut the price of Xperia XA1 and Xperia XA1 Ultra smartphone in India by Rs. 2000. The XA1 that was launched back in April for Rs. 19,990, is now available for Rs. 17,990 and the XA1 Ultra that was launched for Rs. 29,990 in July now costs Rs. 27,990. LG launched the Q6 smartphone with 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision display with 18:9 aspect ratio, facial recognition and military grade durability in India last month. Today it has launched the LG Q6+ with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage in the country. All other specifications of the phone are same as the Q6. It runs on Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) and has a 7000 series aluminum frame.
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has revised interconnection usage charges (IUC) after over 2 years. It has further reduced mobile to mobile to 6 paise per minute from 14 paise per minute from 2015. This comes after an open-house held by TRAI in July regarding interconnection usage charges (IUC) where Reliance Jio proposed to make IUC zero, while incumbents such as Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone India were against it, demanding for IUC to be raised to 30-40 paise per minute. After teasing on its social channels, Moto India has sent out invites for the the launch of Moto X4 smartphone in the Moto X series in India on October 3rd. It was unveiled IFA event recently and packs dual 12MP and 8MP rear cameras to take images with blurred background, portraits, selective black and white and has dual Autofocus Pixel technology for faster focus in low light. It has a 16MP front camera with a 4MP new adaptive low light mode.
Intex has launched Cloud C1 and Aqua S1, two new budget smartphone with 4G VoLTE support and Android 7.0 (Nougat). These have 4-inch WVGA and 5-inch FWVGA displays, respectively and have 1GB RAM.
