LG has launched Q7, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘Q series’ and the successor of last year’s Q6, in India. It has the same 5.5-inch FHD+ FullVision Display and packs the same 3,000mAh built-in battery, but this is powered by a 1.5GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6750S SoC and runs Android 8.0 (Oreo). Google at the ‘Google for India’ event announced ‘Read out Loud’ feature for Google Go browser that lets listen to web pages out loud in 28 languages including Hindi, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi and Tamil in a natural sounding voice. It is powered by natural language processing and speech synthesis AI and works even in 2G connections with minimal cellular data use.
Amazon India today officially launched Bill Payments facility that lets you pay Electricity, Landline, Broadband, Gas & Postpaid bills across 100+ billers on Amazon India. You can also pay these bills via one-click experience. Some of them include billers like BSES, Tata Power, BESCOM, BSNL, Airtel, Vodafone, Reliance Jio, ACT, Hathway, IGL and MGL. Customers can now do mobile recharge or pay bills using their credit and debit cards, UPI, net banking and Amazon Pay balance. Xiaomi India today announced that it has sold more than 500,000 or 5 lakh units of Mi LED TVs in about six months of launch back in February. This includes Mi LED TV 4 55″, Mi LED TV 4A 32″ and Mi LED TV 4A 43″ sold across mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. Earlier this year Google announced that it will be combining Android Pay and Google Wallet, into a single brand – Google Pay, making it an unified payment solution, and it started rolling out from February. At that time the experiences will be coming to Tez users in India soon. Today at the Google for India event the company said that Tez will be rebranded as Google Pay.
Realme today launched the Realme 2, the company’s second-generation smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.2-inch HD+ 19:9 aspect ratio display with a notch and 88.8% screen-to-body ratio, Snapdragon 450 SoC with up to 4GB RAM, ColorOS 5.1 based on Android 8.1 (Oreo), 13-megapixel rear camera along with a secondary 2-megapixel camera for portrait shot and 8-megapixel front camera with AI beautify features that intelligently recognizes 296 facial features as well as face unlock. It has similar specifications as the OPPO A5 which was launched last week.
