Xiaomi announced the latest iteration of its own proprietary Android skin MIUI, dubbed MIUI 11 along with the Redmi Note 8 series at an event in India. MIUI 11 aims to bring a brand new optimized modern UI design focused on content viewing and has also introduced nifty additions specifically for India. The company has almost completed MIUI 11 rollout for the first phase of devices and has already started testing MIUI Stable Beta for the second batch of devices.
As per posts on Mi Community, Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 11 to Redmi Y2 and Redmi 6 Pro users in India. Redmi 6 Pro gets MIUI 220.127.116.11.PDMMIXM update that weighs about 534MB in size while Redmi Y2 gets MIUI 18.104.22.168.PEFMIXM which weighs about 1.5GB in size. Xiaomi has updated the security patch on both the devices as with MIUI 11 update both the devices now run on October security patch.
MIUI 11 brings new features such as New Minimalistic Design, Quick Replies, New Dynamic Sound Effects, Mi Share, Floating Calculator, Updated Mi File Manager, Steps Trackers and more to both the devices.
