Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5A last year running MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Last month it was updated to MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM which was based on Android 7.1 (Nougat) only but the company started rolling out Android 8.1 (Oreo) based MIUI 10 Global Beta ROM towards the end of last month. Month after launching Mi Crowdfunding in India back in April with Selfie Stick Tripod and Bluetooth Audio Receiver, Xiaomi today started crowdfunding for its Polarized glasses – Mi Polarized Wayfarer and Mi Polarized Aviators in India. Both these promise 100% UV protection against UVA, UVB & UVC rays up to 400 nanometers.
Realme launched its Realme U1 smartphone in India last month starting at Rs. 11,999. It went on sale exclusively on Amazon.in starting December 5th. Today, the company has announced that the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage version will go on open sale starting from next Monday, December 17th. The next sale for 4GB RAM with 64GB storage version is scheduled for December 19th at 12 noon.

Vivo has announced to launch their second manufacturing facility in India. The company has acquired additional 169-acre of land in the Yamuna Expressway region in Uttar Pradesh with an estimated investment of Rs. 4000 crore. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath welcomed the initiative and congratulated Vivo for the upcoming facility. Mobiistar has launched C1, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘C series’ in India. It has a 5.34-inch FWVGA+ display, is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 processor with 2GB of RAM, runs Android 8.1 (Oreo), has a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 8-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash. It doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor, but comes with face unlock.

The new personalized experience will allow users to easily filter through offers, review prices from multiple retailers and find the products they are looking for. Xiaomi launched the Redmi 6A, successor of last year’s Redmi 5A in India back in September starting at Rs. 5999. However, at the launch the company said that the pricing is complimentary and it will increase in a couple of months. It also increased the price of 16GB version by Rs. 600 and Rs. 500 for the 32GB version last month. Now the company has cut the price of the phone back at launch prices of Rs. 5999 and Rs. 6999. ASUS just launched Zenfone Max Pro M2, successor of Max Pro M1 in India, as it had promised. The Max Pro M2 has a 6.26-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection, is powered by Snapdragon 660 with 4GB of RAM, runs stock Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is upgradable to Android 9.0 (Pie) in January, has a 12-megapixel rear camera along with a 5-megapixel secondary camera and a 13-megapixel front camera, both with LED flash. It also has support for fast unlock. The company said that it will get AI features and EIS for front camera with an update soon.
