Nokia X Unboxing in India

Nokia X is the first smartphone from the Espoo company running Android, and more importantly, Android apps. It was launched in India just a day back for a price of Rs. 8,599/-. “X” is symbolic in many ways. the company is now at the cross roads of a transition from being an independent company to being owned by Microsoft, the maker of software running on Nokia’s current smartphones. X is also the bridge between Nokia’s struggling smartphone business and its traditional feature phone business. Nokia knew, that without apps, its revived Asha platform phones are getting nowhere, and they also knew that it will never create this familiarity factor with Windows Phone, a crucial factor for any company that has a wide array of devices. Gionee, one of the popular Chinese smartphone manufacturers launched the Elife E7 in India at the end of last year. It went on sale across India recently. The company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Elife series features a 5.5-inch full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It starts at Rs. 26,999, bit higher than their predecessor, the Gionee Elife E6, but it is cheaper when compared to other smartphones in similar range. Flipkart reportedly planning to launch its own smartphones

Without any doubt the Indian smartphone market is booming and everybody wants to get their hands on this smartphone market. Flipkart, currently India’s leading eCommerce giant, has been at the center of this explosion, but only as a retailer. They have witnessed Micromax, a local manufacturer, beat Nokia, Sony, LG, HTC to become India’s second largest smartphone seller. Just recently, they also witnessed and benefitted from the explosive sales of the mid-range smartphone – Motorola Moto G.

Uninor has introduced new fixed rate packs, that offers unlimited access to Facebook and WhatsApp. These packs are called Sabse Sasta (most affordable) Facebook and Sabse Sasta (most affordable) Whatsapp , that offers Facebook access starting at just 50 paise for an hour and WhatsApp access starting at Re. 1 for a day. LG G2 4G LTE version launched in India starting at Rs. 46000

LG has launched the 4G LTE variant of the LG G2 in India, as it promised last month. The 3G variant of the LG G2 was launched in India back in September last year starting at Rs. 41,500. The 4G variant would also have similar features as the 3G version, including a 5.2-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display at 423 ppi, 2.26 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM8974) processor with Adreno 330 GPU and runs on Android Jelly Bean OS. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), 1080p video recording and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera. Nokia X+ and Nokia XL Android smartphones coming to India within 60 days

Today, at the Nokia X launch event in India, Nokia has announced that both the Nokia X+ and the Nokia XL, dual SIM Android smartphones would be available in India within the next 60 days. Both these phones were announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona last month, along with the Nokia X, and are based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Nokia has launched the Nokia X, the company’s first Android smartphone based on Android Open Source Project (AOSP). It was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2014 at Barcelona, last month and packs a 4-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 play (MSM8225) processor and runs on Nokia X software platform 1.0 based on AOSP Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). iberry Auxus Nuclea N2 Benchmarks

iberry launched the Auxus Nuclea N2 smartphone, successor of the Nuclea N1 back in January. We already brought you the unboxing of the Nuclea N2 earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the smartphone. It is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592 processor which as 8 ARM Cortex-A7 CPUs, each clocked at 1.66 GHz and is based on 28nm HPM. It has a Mali 450-MP4 GPU, comes with a 5.7-inch 1080p display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). This is the first Octa-Core chip with Heterogeneous Multi-Processing (HMP), where all the core can be turned ON at the same time. Check out the synthetic benchmark results below.
