Oppo launched the N1 Mini, a smaller variant of the Oppo N1 in India recently for Rs. 26,990. It has a 5-inch 720p screen, compared to the 5.9-inch 1080p screen on the Oppo N1. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor, instead of Snapdragon 600 processor on the N1. Otherwise, it has exactly the same 13-megapixel swivel camera on the top, has ceramic back and aluminum frame, similar to the N1. Check out the unboxing below.
Recently Flipkart sent out press invites for the launch of its Intel Atom-powered tablet on August 27th. Today the online retailer has posted a teaser image of the tablet with Digiflip Pro and Intel brandings on the back. The image has the wordings Packed with features. Powered by intelligence. This clearly shows that it would be powered by Intel processor and come with new features that were not present in its Digiflip Pro XT 712 tablet. The LG L60 X145 went official earlier this month, now the LG L60 X-147, a variant of LG’s new L Series III smartphone has been listed on Amazon India for Rs. 7,990. It has a 4.3-inch WVGA screen, 1.3 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.4 (KitKat), 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, VGA front-facing camera and has dual SIM support, similar to the LG L60 X145, but this comes with 1700mAh battery instead of a 1540 mAh battery. Micromax Bolt A082, the latest smartphone in the Bolt series is now available from online retailer Snapdeal. It has dual front-facing speakers similar to the Micromax Canvas Fire series that went on sale recently. Sony has launched the Xperia C3, the company’s latest selfie-focused smartphone in India. It was unveiled last month and packs a 5.5-inch HD display, 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and Android 4.4 (KitKat). It has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with wide-angle lens along with a soft LED flash. It went on sale in Russia recently. Intex has launched Cloud FX, the company’s first smartphone running on Firefox OS, as it promised back in June. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA screen, powered by a 1GHz processor, has a 2-megapixel rear camera and comes with dual SIM support, similar to the Firefox reference design that was unveiled earlier this year. Xolo has announced that it would release Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for Xolo Q1200, Q900s, A500 Club, A600 and A550s IPS smartphones soon. It has not mentioned any timeframe like it did for its first set of devices. Xolo rolled out KitKat update for Q1010i, Q1010, Q700S and released Beta version of the Kitkat for Q3000 smartphone recently. Asus launched the Zenfone 4 (A450CG) for Rs. 6,999 along with the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) last month. The Zenfone 4 A450CG is now available for pre-order on Flipkart, as Asus promised few days back. The Zenfone A450CG has a 4.5-inch FWVGA screen, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) out of the box, compared to the 4-inch WVGA screen, 5-megapixel rear camera and Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) on the Zenfone 4 (A400CG) that we reviewed recently. Flipkart has just sent us an invite for a tablet launch in partnership with Intel. The invite reads What’s in red, grey, pearl white and blue? It will be powered by an Intel processor. It is clear that it’s going to be a tablet, looking from the invite. It has an earpiece on the top, so it is likely to come with voice calling capabilities. Gionee has announced that it will roll out the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for its M2 smartphone on September 5th in India. It was launched back in February running Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The company released Android KitKat update for the Pioneer P4 in India earlier this week. It rolled out KitKat update for the Elife E7 mini and Elife S5.5 smartphones in India few weeks back. Xiaomi showcased its Mi in-ear headphones / earphones at the Mi 3 launched event last month. It comes in several variants, here we have the Piston 2 model that recently won the iF Design Award 2014 in Germany. The packing varies depending on the countries. India Data Card market registered an annual shipment of 6.72 million units for the year ending June 2014, according to a report from 6Wresearch. The India Data Card market which was previously commanded by the CDMA segment is now witnessing a strong shift towards GSM based Data Cards as they registered 69% share of the market, said the report.
