Winknet launches Ultimate and Wonder 9.7-inch and 7-inch tablets running Android 4.0

Winknet has launched 2 new tablets, Ultimate (TWY300) and Wonder (TWY100) in India. The Winknet Ultimate has a 9.7-inch capacitive touch screen display and the Winknet Wonder comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display. Both these tablets are powered by a 1.5 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Winknet Ultimate features a 2 megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera, while the Wonder sports a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera. Google Nexus 7 launching in India in November

Asus India today confirmed at the PadFone and Transformer Pad launch event that the Google Nexus 7 is expected to launch in India in November according from reports for CIOL. It might come with a different name and few changes in the specification says Ausus, the hardware partner. Google announced the Nexus 7, their first Android tablet to come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in June at Google I/O for $199. Asus Transformer Pad TF300TG launched in India for Rs. 43999

Asus has launched the Transformer Pad TF300TG, their new Tablet in India. It can Transform into a notebook with a mobile dock that has full QWERTY keyboard and a Multi-touch track pad. It has a 10.1-inch (1280×800 pixels) LED Backlight IPS display and is powered by a 1.2GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Asus PadFone launched in India for Rs. 64999

Asus has finally launched the PadFone in India, as we said last week. Asus unveiled the PadFone last year, but they detailed the specs only at the MWC 2012, earlier this year. The PadFone comes with 4.3-inch (960×540 pixels) Super AMOLED display and is powered by a 1.5 GHz Dual-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The PadFone could be docked into the PadFone station that transforms it into a tablet that has 1.3MP front-facing camera and a micro HDMI port. Asus unveiled the PadFone last year, but they detailed the specs only at the MWC 2012, earlier this year. Asus would finally launch the PadFone in India today. GoCarz partners with Airtel to offer free in-cab Internet

GoCarz, Radio Taxi Service in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) has entered into a deal with Airtel to offer free Wi-Fi for the passengers travelling in their Cabs. This would let the customers stay in touch with their work and friends on their mobile phone or laptops while travelling. TRAI asks operators not to charge a premium for voice calls, SMS on Blackout days

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued directions to Telecom service providers regarding charges for Voice calls and SMS on blackout days. Usually service providers does not allow concessional voice calls and SMS under any plan or package. TRAI has already said that the blackout days should not exceed 5 in a calendar year. Now, they have asked the service providers no to charges extra more than the tariff plan in which the consumer is enrolled. Samsung Galaxy Chat now available in India for Rs. 8499

Samsung Galaxy Chat (B5330) is now available in India from online retailer Saholic. It was announced in July and packs in a 3.0-inch (240×320 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and has a full QWERTY keyboard. It is powered by a 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 2MP camera at the back and also lets you launch the camera and directly from the lock screen. Samsung Galaxy S3 price drops to Rs. 34900

Samsung Galaxy S3 has got a price cut in India, and is available for Rs. 34900 from select online retailers in India. TheGalaxy S3 was launched in India in May for a MRP of Rs. 43,180, and the Garnet Red version went on sale last week for a MOP of Rs. 37,500. The Galaxy S3 price is now on-par with the HTC One X . Datawind, the company behind the low-cost Aakash tablets has launched 4 new 7-inch tablets, UbiSlate 7Ri, UbiSlate 7R+, UbiSlate 7Ci an d UbiSlate 7C+. These tablets come with a 7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) display and run on Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich). Sistema to acquire Aircel for $3 billion

Sistema, Russia’s largest investment company is all set to acquire a controlling stake in Aircel Communications for around $3 billion (~Rs. 16,500 crore) according to a report from The Economic Times.
