Micromax A70 – Budget Android phone with 3G video calling

Micromax has launched the much awaited Android phone, Micromax A70. This phone was leaked earlier this year and it is the successor of Micromax Andro A60 that was launched last year. It runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) and is powered by 600 MHz processor. It has 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen, 5MP camera and a secondary VGA camera for video calling.

Sony Ericsson posts a loss of 50 million euros in Q2 2011

Sony Ericsson had warned investors in March this year that it has been affected by the tragic turn of events in Japan. Today the company posted a 2nd quarter loss of nearly 50 million euros mainly due to lower number of handsets sold in the quarter due to supply chain issues. This is really a bad blow for Sony Ericsson which was slowly recovering after a lot of restructuring and shifting focus to Android. The handset maker still managed to ship 7.6 million phones during this period.

LG Optimus 3D Preview

We are lucky to get our hands on the LG Optimus 3D which is the world’s first 3D phone and the world’s first 3D smartphone. The 3D experience does not require you to wear 3D glasses as the phone packs a glassless/glassfree 3D display. The Spice Mi410 Review

Android is pretty big an eco-system and as an OS it has seen tremendous growth. The recent reports clearly show that Android is the one that is growing, thriving and completely dominating. Android 2.3.4 leaked for Samsung galaxy S2

It looks like Samsung is on a roll and giving out updates for their devices on a really fast pace. This time it’s an update for the popular Samsung Galaxy S 2 which has been selling like hot cakes, even though it has not been released in the U.S yet. Good news for the SGS2 users, Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) was leaked for their device bringing the latest gtalk with video calling.
