ASUS announces new Transformer Pad Infinity with 10.1-inch 2560 x 1600 display and 1.9GHz quad-core Tegra 4 processor

Asus has announced a refreshed version of the Transformer Pad Infinity at the Computex 2013 in Taipei. It has a 10.1-inch (2560 x 1600 pixels) LED backlit 10-point multi-touch IPS display with 178-degree wide viewing angles, powered by a 1.9GHz NVIDIA Tegra 4 processor with quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 CPU and 72-core GeForce GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has ASUS SonicMaster-enhanced audio and a redesigned 254mm keyboard dock with multi-touch touchpad. ASUS FonePad Note FHD 6 Photo Gallery

ASUS just announced the Fonepad Note FHD6 at a pre-Computex keynote in Taiwan today. The large device comes with a 6 inch full HD 1080p screen, and with a stylus in tow, this seems to be squarely aimed at the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which might sport similar specifications and placement. Running on Android 4.2.2 Jellybean, it is powered by an Intel Z2560 chipset with a dual core 1.6 GHz processor and the PowerVR SGX 544MP2 GPU. Having witnessed the announcement at the event, we went to the demo area to take some photos of the device. While we were not allowed to go hands on with it, we were still able to take some handsome shots of the device, find them past the break.

Asus has announced the Fonepad Note FHD 6, the company’s first phablet. It has a 6-inch (1920 x 1080) Full HD Super IPS+ display, powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with SGX544 MP2 GPU and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with a stylus that docks on the back of the tablet along with Asus exclusive note apps. Asus has announced the MeMO Pad HD 7 at the Computex 2013. It is the successor of the Asus MeMO Pad ME172V that was announced earlier this year. It has a 7-inch (1280 x 800) HD IPS 10-point multi-touch display with 170-degree wide viewing angles, powered by a quad-core ARM Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. It has Asus SonicMaster Audio Technology and Stereo Speakers for enhanced audio output.

It is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 Clover Trail+ processor, has a 10.1-inch (1920 x 1200) WUXGA display and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5-megapixels auto focus rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera. The company unveiled the MeMO Pad Smart with a 10.1-inch HD display earlier this year. Zen Ultrafone 701 HD Benchmarks

Zen launched the Ultrafone 701 HD back in April at a price tag of Rs. 11,999. We brough you the unboxing of the device earlier this week. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. It has 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6589 Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz with PowerVR SGX544 GPU. Most of the phones in the Indian market have the similar MediaTek chip. Let’s see how it performs when compared to other other smartphones in the similar price range.

Zen ultrafone 701 HD Unboxing

The Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is yet another entrant into the already crowded “5 inch 720p screen, quad core processor” market that has been flooded with a lot of phones this year. However, with a price tag of Rs. 11,999 this seems to be the cheapest of the lot in that range. Equipped with very similar specs to that of the various other smartphones in this price range, the device has landed in our office for testing. Samsung has carved out a huge market for its Galaxy range of Android phones. One of the most popular phones in the series was the Galaxy S3, clocking over 40 million units in sales as of January this year. Samsung launched the much hyped and much anticipated upgrade to the S3 in the form of the Galaxy S4 at an event in New York and the India launch took place last week in Delhi as it is one of the key markets for the Korean smartphone maker. HTC One with stock Android launching on June 26th in USA, priced at $599

HTC has finally confirmed the rumors about the HTC One running stock Android. The company just announced on its official blog that a HTC One with Nexus User Experience will be going on sale soon in the US market first. They would continue to sell the developer version and unlocked version directly to users. The HTC One with stock Android will be going on sale on Google’s Play store starting from June 26th but sadly only in the US. The handset has been priced at $599 which is lower than the price of the Galaxy S4 running stock Android which will also be going on sale on the same day for $649. Windows Phone 8 sync app for the desktop comes out of beta, adds new features

The Windows Phone desktop app for Windows Phone 8 devices has finally come out of the beta, after over six months in preview form. The app, which is used to manage files and sync media with your Windows Phone 8 device has been hardly a replacement for the excellent Zune solution for the earlier generation Windows Phone 7 devices. But with Windows Phone 8 adding the MTP protocol for file management, the Zune app has been useless, while the Windows Phone app, with its limited features, proved of little utility. Anyway, the app has now added more features and is now available for download, in case you are craving for a decent sync app for Windows Phone 8, and don’t want to go down the explorer route.

Tata Sky Mobile 3.0 for Android

Tata Sky Mobile app has been updated to version 3.0. This is a major update since its launch last year. This update brings WiFi remote that lets you control your Tata Sky+ HD box over WiFi. You can swipe to change channels and volume, change channels by tapping on your channel logo and more. You can also set shows for recording and set reminders through the app. The Tata Sky Mobile for iPhone and iPad got the update with these features last month.
