LG released a teaser video for its upcoming LG G Pad 8.3 tablet. Though the video had little to do with the tablet, it was about various people talking what they use their tablet for and what would make them use it more. The theme of the teaser goes by “What would make a tablet just right for you?”. The new LG G Pad is expected to be announced at the IFA in early September.
LG Optimus L9 II that leaked yesterday, has been officially announced in Netherlands. It comes with a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor (Probably Snapdragon 400) . It packs a 2460 mAh battery and a Infrared transmitter for Quick-Remote. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, BSI sensor and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. and runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It pack 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory. Gionee GPad G3, successor of the GPad G2 is coming soon says Gionee. The company shared an image of the device on their Facebook page, saying that it would come with a 5.5-inch display. It did not reveal the display resolution or any other details. According to rumors the phone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch (854 × 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Oppo already revealed that they were working on the flagship camera-centric devices dubbed the N-lens, later the name was confirmed as the N1 and leaked renders surfaced recently. Oppo started teasing the N1 last week with some details hinting at the rear touch panel and also revealed that the flagship phone would launch in September. Xolo has launched the Q1000S, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Q Core series. We reported about the device back in July and Xolo started teasing about the device on their Facebook page earlier this week. It has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display at 295 PPI based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) similar to the Q1000 that was launched back in May. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6589T processor with PowerVR SGX544 GPU . Gionee GPad G2 is the successor of the original GPad from Gionee that was launched in India back in May. The GPad 2 is considerably a big improvement over the original GPad with a better display, better processor, more RAM and better front facing camera. Google has updated the Chrome Beta for Android to version 30 that brings a lot of new features including option to right-click an image to do an image search, new gestures to switch tabs, lot of new API support for users and developers. With the new gestures you can now swipe horizontally across the top toolbar to quickly switch tabs instead of edge-swipe. Intex launched the Aqua I-5, the company’s latest flagship smartphone back in June, that we reviewed recently. Now a younger brother, Aqua I-4 has been listed on the official Intex website along with the Intex Cloud Y5. Intex launched the Cloud Y2 earlier this month, and the Cloud Y5 has a larger display, but it runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The Aqua i-4 has a 5-inch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). The Cloud Y5 would be powered by a dual-core processor. Micromax has been teasing the upcoming Canvas Doodle 2 A240 on their Facebook page for the past few days, now the smartphone has been listed on Flipkart. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 A240 would have a 5.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). It would come with a 12-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It would have with Dual SIM support with dual standby similar to other Micromax smartphones. Xolo has started teasing a upcoming smartphone on the Facebook page. The image just shows back of the smartphone that also shows how thin the smartphone is. This might be the Xolo Q1000S, which we reported last month that would be just 6.8mm thick. You can also see the camera bulge and the back is likely to have a matte finish. Asus unveiled the Padfone Infinity, the third generation Padfone device back in Feburuary at the MWC 2013. It went on sale in Taiwan back in April. We brought you the unboxing of the device back in June and the benchmarks in July, here we have the complete review of the device. The Padfone Infinity has an optional Padfone dock similar to its predecessors that converts the phone into a tablet. This brings lot of new cards including Car rentals card, Concert ticket card, Commute sharing card and lots more. This also has improved public transit cards that now informs about last train or bus.
