Xolo Play gets a new OTA update, improves performance

Xolo has announced that they have started rolling out a new over-the-air (OTA) update for the Xolo Play that improves the performance of the update. The Xolo Play (T1000) was launched last month, and we reviewed the device recently. It is the first phone from Xolo to be powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. The graphics is taken care of 416 MHz 12 Core NVIDIA ULP GeForce GPU.  It runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean), sadly the new update does not bring Android 4.2.

Xolo Play T1000 Vs Samsung Galaxy Grand

Xolo is trying to target the mid-range smartphone market and their latest attempt is the gaming powerhouse – Xolo Play T1000 packing a NVidia Tegra 3 SoC. Samsung launched the Galaxy Grand (GT-I9082) way back in January and it has been a huge hit for the company.

Xolo Play T1000, the company’s upcoming Android smartphone that surfaced on the official website yesterday is now available for pre-order from online retailer Flipkart. The phone has a  4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. Xolo was the first company to bring the Intel-powered Xolo X900 back in 2012. Now the company is all set to launch their flagship smartphone powered by a Nvidia Tegra 3 processor. It comes with a 4.7-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen IPS display based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and runs on Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, LED Flash, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has Full HD video playback and support for Nvidia Tegra games through NVIDIA TegraZone. This comes with support for single SIM similar to Xolo’s Intel-powered smartphones.
