LG Optimus G Pro is LG’s first Full HD smartphone and it comes with a 5.5inch display making it more phablet than phone. Sony’s first Full HD smartphone, Xperia Z comes with a 5inch display giving it a more compact body. Powerful quad-core Snapdragon processors power both the phones although the Optimus G Pro has newer generation processor.

LG Optimus G Pro was LG’s first Full HD phone which was announced way back in January but only recently launched. The Lenovo K900 was also announced in January and has been available since June in India.
Both the phones are similar in the fact that both of them have a 5.5inch Full HD display. The internals are completely different with the G Pro being powered by a Snapdragon 600 Processor while the Lenovo K900 is powered by Intel Clover Trail dual-core processor.

Temple Run: Oz from Imangi Studios and Disney/Pixar is now available for Windows Phone 8. The game was released for Android, iPhone and iPad in March. The Temple Run: Oz based on the Temple Run 2 and inspired by Oz the Great and Powerful movie that released earlier this year. This game would let you Play as Oz and outrun the shrieking flying baboons as you turn, jump and slide your way across the land. Evernote for Windows Phone has received a major update to version 4.0 that brings log of new features including a new multi-shot camera, speech-to-text capabilities, smart note titling, and better support for Windows Phone 8. The multi-shot camera lets you take photos without exiting camera mode, new slideshows lets you swipe through to view images in a note. The speech-to-text automatically transcribes your speech to text, you can use this by pressing the speech bubble icon. The app now has auto title that uses your location, the content of your note, and even a calendar event to give your note a useful title. Hugo Barra, VP of Android Product Management at Google would join Xiaomi Corporation. He would be responsible for Xiaomi’s international business development and Android strategic partnerships, said the company on Twitter. He served at Google 5 and half years and almost 3 years in the Android team. Before joining the Android team, he was director of product management for Google mobile apps based in London. Hugo Barra would join the Xiaomi team in China to help them expand their incredible product portfolio and business globally — as Vice President, Xiaomi Global. Twitter has updated both the Android (v 4.1.6)and iPhone (v5.10) apps with a new conversation view. Now, Tweets that are part of a conversation are shown in chronological order. Up to three Tweets are shown in a sequence in the home timeline, once you tap a Tweet, you can see all the replies, including those from people you don’t follow. We brought you the unboxing recently, here we have the benchmarks of the device. It is powered by the latest MediaTek MT6572 chip with Mali-400 MP GPU that has integrated Wi-Fi, FM, GPS and Bluetooth. It has a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display, 256MB of RAM and comes with dual SIM support with dual standby.

iBall had been teasing their projector phone for over a week. The iBall Andi 4a Projector has appeared on the official website. It has a 4.0-inch (480×800 pixels) display, powered by 1 GHz Dual-Core Cortex A9 Processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 8-megapixel Auto focus camera with flash and a front-facing camera for video calling. It has 35 lumens projector that allows users to project digital media instantly up to 10 feet or 120-inch wide at a distance of 8 feet in VGA (480 x 640 pixels) resolution. Miracast is a wireless screencast standard that aims to be an open alternative to Apple’s AirPlay. With certified devices, the technology works over a peer-to-peer WiFi Direct connection and mirrors everything on your screen on to compatible devices, like for example, your TV. There are many devices that support the Miracast standard and one of them is the Netgear Push2TV that we bought recently. It supports not one but two wireless screencasting standards – Miracast for many Smartphones and Tablets, and Intel WiDi for the new range of ultrabooks. MTV India and Swipe Telecom has partnered once again to launch the MTV Slate, a 7.85-inch device in Swipe’s Tablet series. It has a 7.85-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean). It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera, 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera and packs a 3200 mAh battery. It has SIM card slot that lets you make voice calls.
Google has just announced that it has dropped the price of the Nexus 4 by 25%. The 8GB version is now available at a price of 199 US$ while the 16GB will cost you 249 US$.
Samsung has announced the Galaxy Tab 3 Kids, a variant of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 that was announced earlier this year. It has a 7-inch (1024×600) TFT LCD display, powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 3-megapixel fixed focus rear-facing camera and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes only in Wi-Fi variant with 8GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot. Samsung is undoubtedly one of the front runners of the Android race while Lenovo are catching up with them fast. Samsung has been looking to expand its Galaxy portfolio and the Galaxy Mega 6.3 is a result of company’s interest in the 6inch+ category while the Lenovo K900 is Lenovo’s current flagship powered by an Intel processor.
Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 was launched at the end of May in Indian while the Lenovo K900 has been available since June although it had been announced way back in January earlier this year. Despite being different devices of different capabilities, they are priced almost similarly and lets check out which of the two performs better.
