Google Pixel 3 gets Dual SIM, Dual Standby support with Android Q Beta 2

Google started supporting eSIM feature on the Pixel 2 devices and the same was carried onto Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. It was only Dual SIM, Single Standby (DSSS), but today, with the roll out of Android Q Beta 2, Google brings support for Dual SIM Dual Standby(DSDS) for Pixel 3 devices.

Get Android 9.0 Pie on Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 with Pixel Experience ROM

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 was amongst the best selling devices launched in 2017 in India, despite launching in 2017 it was launched with Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and was updated to Android 7.0 (Nougat) in August 2017. Redmi Note 4 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 mobile platform, the same processor that powers Mi A1 which received Android 9.0 (Pie) update along with Dual 4G VoLTE support couple of months ago. Xiaomi has already announced the list of smartphones eligible for Android Oreo/Pie update, but Xiaomi’s best-seller from 2017 is not included in the list and now we can assume that Redmi Note 4 will not receive any Android update. ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2, Max Pro M1 and Max M2 Android 9.0 (Pie) update will roll out by April 15

Back in December last year ASUS confirmed Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z and Max Pro M2 will get the Pie update in January, and the Max Pro M1 will get in February, but only the Zenfone 5Z got the Pie update in January, while the other phones are yet to get the update. This week the company confirmed that the both these phones along with the Zenfone Max M2  will get the update by April 15th.

Android Q: How to toggle system-wide dark mode using ADB

Few hours back Google released Android Q, the next major update with several new features for Pixel phones, but the first beta doesn’t bring system-wide Dark mode as rumored.  ‘Device Theme’ and ‘Night Mode’ settings from Android Pie have been removed in Android Q. Dark mode is enabled automatically for some, if ‘Night mode’ is enabled in Android Pie before updating to Android Q. Battery saver in Android Q turns system apps dark, but this disables important notifcations, haptic feedback and several things. However, you can enable, disable or turn auto dark mode with simple ADB code.
