Lenovo Vibe P1 Review

Competition has never been stronger in the mid-range segment and it has become very difficult for manufacturers to create devices that have a USP compared to other devices in the same category. The price range was primarily dominated by Xiaomi until 2015 where we see new entrants in the form of the Moto X Play and the OnePlus X. But most recently, Lenovo launched the Vibe P1, which at least on paper seems to overcome any of the shortcomings that the other devices have in this price range. The primary focus being on battery life. While the Moto X Play itself had great battery life, the Vibe P1 with its 5000 mAH battery should be even better. So, let us dive into the review to see whether the smartphone ticks all the right boxes and whether it truly is the most worthy contender in the price range like the specifications suggest.

Xiaomi is all set to launch its Redmi Note 2 Prime smartphone in India soon, reveals Amazon.in teaser, which says that #PrimeIsComing. Even though the teaser doesn’t reveal the smartphone, the image of the smartphone resembles the Note 2 Prime. Looks like the Ericsson patent issue is going to be settled soon or the smartphone might come with a different processor. We will have to wait for the launch to find out. Back in October it announced that it will invest over $300 million in Manufacturing, R&D and ID design in India. Today the company has announced that it will will manufacture one million Made in India Coolpad handsets in the first half of 2016. “Partnership between Coolpad and Videocon is in line with the Indian Government Vision of “Make in India” and such projects and partnerships will bring big business and employment opportunities in the country,” said Coolpad. Motorola Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G to get Android 6.0 update in select regions

Motorola confirmed Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for range of smartphones back in October. At that time it did not include Moto E series and first generation Moto X and Moto G phones, but it had said it might add more devices in the future. Now the company has announced add the Moto E (2nd Gen) 4G in the list and said that it will get the Marshmallow update in Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia, excluding China. Android Lollipop adoption nearing 30%, Marshmallow up to 0.5%

Google is out with the monthly Android distribution numbers for the month of December. Lollipop 5.0 is now present on 29.5% of Android devices up from 25.6 percent in November.
