Huawei has sent out press invites for the launch of Honor 5X smartphone on January 28th. It is the successor of one of the most popular Honor 4X smartphone that was launched in India last year. The teaser image shows the smartphone’s unibody metal build, rear camera sensor and the fingerprint sensor below the camera. The teaser has a caption Faster Better Stronger to mention that it has a faster processor with more RAM, better design and a stronger metal build compared to its predecessor, the Honor 4X. Toshiba DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet available for pre-order in the US for $569.99

Toshiba had announced the 12 inch DynaPad 2-in-1 Windows tablet in October last year after it was showcased at IFA in September. Now the company has announced the availability of the tablet.

Android Lollipop adoption hits 32.6%, Marshmallow still crawling at 0.7%

Google has released its Android distribution data for the month of January. Android Lollipop adoption is soaring every month and is now present on 32.6% of Android devices that is up from 29.5% since December.

Apart from water resistance up to 50 meters, this is also built to military standard specifications (MIL-STD-810G) so that it can withstand a variety of rugged activities. It has dedicated apps designed to measure changes in the natural environment and track activity levels. It has a 1.32-inch (320 x 300 pixels) dual layer display with monochrome and color LCDs. Motorola has finally started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) OTA update for the Moto X Play smartphone in India. Motorola rolled out the Android Marshmallow update for the Moto X Style in India back in November last year. In an interview last month, Amit Boni, general manager of Motorola India confirmed that Motorola will roll out Marshmallow update for the Moto X Play in India soon.

Windows 10 now running on more than 200 million devices

Microsoft launched the Windows 10 on June 29th in 190 countries worldwide. Today the company’s Corporate Vice President of Marketing for Windows and Devices, Yusuf Mehdi said that Windows 10 is now running on more than 200 million active devices worldwide after 6 months of its launch. In 24 hours after the roll out it was running on more than 14 million devices, after four weeks of the launch it was running on more than 75 million devices.
