Xiaomi Redmi Pro with 5.5-inch 1080p OLED display, dual rear cameras, 4GB RAM announced

Xiaomi just announced Redmi Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the Redmi series at an event in China. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p OLED 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by a deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 / X25 SoC and runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has dual rear cameras, a 13-megapixel camera along with a 5-megapixel camera for achieving depth of field and real-time background blur. The Blade V6 packs a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 SoC, while the Axon Mini comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED 2.5D curved glass screen with 0.85mm slim bezels and is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 616 SoC. Gionee has announced M6 and M6 Plus smartphones in China. The Gionee M6 packs in a 5.5-inch 1080p AMOLED display and the M6 Plus packs a 6-inch 1080p AMOLED screen. Both the phones are powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC and run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Amigo OS 3.2 on top. The Gionee M6 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), LED flash and the M6 Plus has a 16-megapixel rear camera. Both the phones have a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Android 7.0 Nougat has enforced verified boot, device with corrupt image will not boot

Google released final Android 7.0 Nougat Developer Preview 5 earlier this week. Today Google has announced that it will be strictly enforcing verified boot in Android 7.0 so if the device has a corrupt boot image, it will not boot or will boot in a limited capacity with user consent. This improves security by using cryptographic integrity checking to detect changes to the operating system.
