It also confirmed that  Moto Z and Moto G (4th Gen) devices will get the update this quarter. Now it has started soak tests of Nougat in Brazil for users who have registered for the upgrade program. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 Review

The Redmi Note 4 from Xiaomi was unveiled a good 10 months after the announcement of the Redmi Note 3. On paper, it seems to have quite a similar spec list compared to the Redmi Note 3 and seems to offer a package with few improvements. Huawei’s Honor brand just announced Honor 6X, the company’s latest mid-range smartphone at an event in China, as expected. It has a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display, is powered by an Octa-Core Kirin 655 16nm processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with EMUI 4.1. It has a 12-megapixel camera with phase-detection auto-focus (PDAF), LED flash and a secondary 2-megapixel for achieving depth of field and background blur. Gionee has launched P7 Max, the company’s latest smartphone in the ‘P Series’ in India. It has a 5.5-inch HD display with NEG glass protection, is powered by a 2.2 GHz Octa Core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) with Amigo 3.2 on top. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera that lets you use the screen light as flash when taking selfies. Both the phones pack a 5.5-inch display, run Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) and pack 5-megapixel front and rear cameras. Ulefone U007 Pro with 5-inch HD display, Android 6.0, 4G LTE announced for $69.99

Ulefone has introduced U007 Pro, an upgraded version of the U007 that was introduced back in June. This has 4G support and the MediaTek MT6580A SoC has been replaced by MT6735 SoC. Other specifications are the same, including a 5-inch HD display,  Android 6.0 (Marshmallow), 8-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX149 sensor, LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera and dual SIM support. Lenovo Vibe K5 Note OTA update adds VoLTE support for Reliance Jio

Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Note smartphone in the ‘Vibe K’ series in India back in August starting Rs. 11,999. At the launch the smartphone did not support 4G VoLTE (Voice Over LTE) at the launch for making calls on Reliance Jio network. Android 7.1 Developer Preview with App shortcuts, Image keyboard and more to roll out this month

Google showed preview of Android 7.1 (Nougat), the next incremental Android update at the Pixel launch event last week. Today it has announced that it will release open developer preview of Android 7.1 for select Nexus devices later this month. This brings new features for consumers and developers, including better Daydream VR support and A/B system updates such as app shortcuts and image keyboard support.  It also brings optimizations and bug fixes as wells as new APIs (API level 25).
