Google Maps is finally back on the iPhone after it was removed in Apple iOS 6, it is the now back as a downloadable app on the Apple AppStore. Google Maps for the first time comes with Turn-by-Turn voice guided navigation on the iPhone.There is the much popular Street View mode too !

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Tab 2 310 (Tab 2 7.0) in India. Samsung announced the tab in February and it was unveiled in Asia in March. It was launched in India in May, and we reviewed it in July. Samsung announced the Jelly Bean update for range of devices including the Tab 2 310 back in September. Yahoo has released a new Mail app for iPhone users. The Android app has also been updated to version 3.0 that brings new features including a new user interface with pull-to-refresh, slide-out folder list and action bars, improvements in battery performance and stability and more. The Yahoo! Mail for Android was released in 2010, that received a major update back in April that brought enhanced navigation menu and customized no notification sounds. Twitter has updated the Android and iPhone apps that brings photo filters and option to enhance photos with auto fix and crop. This feature is powered by Aviary. Photo filters are already available in Instagram and Snapseed apps for Android and iPhone. The Instagram app was released for Android earlier this year and the iPhone app got a major update today. Lava Iris N400, Lava’s new Dual SIM Android smartphone in the Iris range is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Snapdeal. Unlike the Iris N320 and N350 that was launched recently, the N400 comes with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has 3G support. It has a 4.0-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1 GHz processor. It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calling. Sony has announced that they have extended the agreement with Box to offer 50GB of free storage for Xperia smartphones and tablets till the end of 2013. Last December Sony teamed up with Box to offer 50GB of free file sharing and storage on Box for the Xperia range of Android smartphones and tablets. When Asus launched the PadFone 2 back in October , it launched the device with Android 4.0 Ice Cream sandwich on-board. Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 (GT-P5100) has got a price cut and is now available for Rs. 25900 from online retailer Saholic. It was announced at MWC 2012 earlier this year and launched in India in July for Rs. 32,900. This is definitely a huge price cut, that would let more customers buy the tablet. Snapseed photo app is finally available for Android. This app would let you transform and enhance your image just like Instagram, which was released for Android earlier this year. Google acquired Snapseed recently, and Vic Gundotra, Senior Vice President teased Snapseed for Android few months back by sharing an image on his Google+ page. The Snapseed app for iPhone and iPad that costed $2.99 till now has gone free and has been updated with new features including built-in Google+ sharing, new Retrolux filter and updated frames filter. The Nexus program from Google has been transforming from a developer focused one to a completely consumer focused one. The message is very clear, Google wants to use its services(Google Play) and the best possible way to use them is by buying their Nexus devices. Starting from the Nexus One, the program has seen many phones, till the Nexus 4(See our unboxing here) a 7 inch tablet made by ASUS, the Nexus 7, but we never got to see a 10 inch one. But then, amidst “Sandy”, Google launched the first 10 inch Nexus device – The Google Nexus 10, made by Samsung. And yes, we have got it in our hands already, after a terrible launch delay. It was announced in October and comes with a 3-inch (240×320) display, 850 MHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) that is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) in future.
