Huawei Ascend D2 hands on Photo Gallery


Huawei announced the Ascend D2 the company’s latest Android Smartphone with a 5-inch 1080p display earlier today at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013. We got some hands-on time with the device, here are some images of the device. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 Huawei’s own processor. The device comes in Crystal Blue and Pure White. We got the hands-on with the white version.

The 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) IPS display with 443 PPI is stunning. The colors are vibrant, offering better image and video quality.

At the top there is a 1.3-megapixel HD front-facing camera.

The device has on-screen touch buttons for back, home and multi-tasking. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass and is IPX 5/4 compliant for dust and water resistance.

The phone runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s own EmotionUI 1.5 on top. It has 2GB RAM and has 32GB of internal memory. There is no expandable memory.

On the side there is power button and volume rockers. The device is 9.4 mm thick, has metal frame around the phone and weighs 170 grams.

At the top there is a micro USB and a micro SIM slot.

At the bottom there is a 3.5mm audio jack and a powerful loudspeaker that can be heard from 2 metres away.

At the back there is a 13MP camera with BSI sensor, HDR and LED Flash. It is capable of recording 1080 Full HD videos.

The connectivity features include, 3G, Wi-Fi 820.11 a/b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 with EDR and GPS. It boasts a 3000 mAh battery.
