Idea Ivory Dual SIM 3G Smartphone running Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 7390

Idea has launched the Ivory, the company’s first phone with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It features a 3.5 inch capacitive touch screen display similar to the Idea AURUS that was launched last September, but this has a 1 GHz processor. It comes with Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support similar to the other Idea Smartphones. It comes with a 2MP rear camera. Asus MeMO Pad 7-inch tablet running Android 4.1 announced

Asus has announced the MeMo Pad, their new affordable 7-inch tablet after the CES 2013. The Asus MeMO Pad has a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), similar to the Acer Iconia B1-A71 that was announced at CES last week, but this tablet is powered by a 1GHz WonderMedia PRIZM WM8950 processor instead of a dual-core Mediatek processor. It has a 1MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor, 720p HD video capture at 30 fps. It has non-slip diamond-patterned finish at the back. Samsung Galaxy S series smartphone sales surpass 100 million units globally

Samsung has announced that the combined sales (supply chain) of the Samsung Galaxy S, the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy S3 has crossed 100 million globally. The combined sales of the Samsung Galaxy S and Galaxy S2 crossed 50 million back in June 2012. The Samsung Galaxy S was introduced back in May 2010, and it took 2 years and 7 months for the S series phones to reach 100 million sales mark. Google has released Chrome Beta channel for Android phones and Tablets. This would let Android users try out upcoming features and also provide feedback. The beta channel also adds new features including faster Octane performance, CSS Filters for developers and more. Google launched Chrome for Android last February. Lava Iris N501 with 5-inch display, 1 GHz dual-core processor, Android 4.0 launched for Rs. 9999

 

Lava has launched Iris N501, new Android Smartphone in the Iris range. It has a 5-inch (480 × 800 pixels) display and is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calling.  It has Dual SIM support similar to the other Iris smartphones. This would compete with other budget 5-inch Dual SIM Smartphones such as Micromax A110iBall Andi 5cSpice Stellar HorizonZync Z5 Cloud and the Intex Aqua 5.0.

Salora International has launched their first Android Smartphone, Salora PowerMaxx with a powerful 3200 mAh battery in a slim 10.2 mm, 64.5 mm frame. The PowerMaxx has a 4.5-inch (540 x 960 Pixels) qHD IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 1GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor and has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED Flash, 720p HD video recording and a 1.3MP front-facing camera. Samsung has announced the Galaxy S2 Plus. It has a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean). It  has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, zero-lag shutter and a 2MP HD front-facing camera. It also comes with Samsung’s unique features such as S Voice,  Popup Video, Smart Stay, Direct Call, Smart Alert and AllShare Play. It would also come with optional NFC support. Lenovo launches the A2107 7 inch Android 4.0 tablet in India, priced at Rs. 14,000/-

After having launched a range of Android based smartphones in India, Lenovo has just went ahead and released its first 7 inch Android 4.0 tablet, the A2107 in India. The A2107 is Lenovo’s entry into the 7 inch tablet market that was made popular by the Galaxy Tab 2 310 and the Nexus 7. Centered around content consumption, the tablet has 3G data connectivity for internet access on the go.

Polaroid has announced iM1836, the first interchangeable lens (mirrorless) Android camera at CES 2013, produced by Sakar International. It has a 18.1 megapixel sensor and comes with interchangable 10-30mm optical zoom lens and also accepts micro Four Thirds system lenses in other mirrorless cameras. Acer has finally announced the Iconia B1-A71, their new affordable 7-inch tablet running on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) at CES 2013. It ha a 7-inch (1024 x 600 pixels) capacitive multi-touch display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Mediatek MT 8317T processor. Huawei Ascend Mate hands on Photo Gallery

Huawei unveiled the Ascend Mate along with the Ascend D2 earlier today at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013. The Ascend Mate has a 6.1-inch 720p display unlike the Ascend D2 that has a 5-inch 1080p display. But the Ascend Mate has a 1.5 GHz quad-core Hi-Silicon K3V2 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) similar to the D2. Sony Xperia ZL with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia ZL at CES 2013. This is a variant of the Xperia Z for select markets, and packs in similar features as the Xperia Z including a 5-inch Full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Reality display with mobile Bravia Engine 2, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor with Adreno 320 GPU and a 13MP camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS sensor for HDR images and video. It is not water or dust resistant like the Xperia Z and doesn’t have a glass back, but comes with a glowing LED indicator below the display. It comes with PlayStation Mobile support.
