HTC 10 Android 8.0 Oreo update with Jio VoLTE support starts rolling out in India

HTC confirmed Android 8.0 (Oreo) update for some of its devices back in August last year. The HTC U11 was the first phone to get the Oreo update in November starting from Taiwan, later the U11 Life got the update,  after a delay the HTC 10 got the update recently. Now the company has finally started rolling out Oreo update for Indian users that also brings VoLTE support for Reliance Jio users. Google said to introduce ARCore 1.0 officially at MWC 2018, but the update is already rolling out [Update: Now available for 13 smartphones]

Update: Google is officially rolling out ARCore 1.0, which is now available for 13 smartphones – Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy S8, S8+, Note8, S7 and S7 edge, LG V30 and V30+ (Android O only), ASUS Zenfone AR and OnePlus 5. It will be available in upcoming devices from Samsung, Huawei, LGE, Motorola, ASUS, Xiaomi, HMD/Nokia, ZTE, Sony Mobile, and Vivo later this year. Google said that ARCore is designed to work on a wide variety of qualified Android phones running Android 7.0 (Nougat) and later.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro MIUI 9.2.4 update brings Face Unlock

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro in India last week, which went on sale today for the first time on Flipkart as well as Mi.com and was sold out within minutes. At the launch Xiaomi promised to bring Face unlock that will be available via OTA update by the end of March, but today as a surprise the company rolled out the Face unlock feature for the phone via an OTA update. As the North American carrier T-Mobile and Samsung seem to be working closely to make that possible. Xiaomi Mi 4i gets final MIUI 9.2 update

Xiaomi launched the Mi 4i back in 2015 MIUI 6 based on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). MIUI v8.5.3  was the last update for the above mentioned devices which company rolled out a few months back, and company decided to skip MIUI 9.0 update for the phone. Earlier this week the company started rolling out MIUI 9.2 Global Beta Stable update to the phone and, the main highlights of MIUI 9.2 include Interactive and Fresh UI changes, New Gallery App, Calendar Cards, App VaultMi Video AppNew Mi Explorer.
