Samsung has finally announced the list of devices that would receive the Android 4.4 (KitKat) update, but this list is only for the U.S. variants. LG was responsible for the Nexus 4 and more recently the Nexus 5, and their association with Google continues with the LG G Pad 8.3. The G Pad was originally launched as a premium 8 inch tablet from LG, fully packed with special features added through software but the one we have here is the first tablet to be blessed by Google with a Play Edition, meaning the device will run stock Android without any modifications. Samsung is, off late, adding a “Neo” to its already existing products and with the addition of the tag, it suggests that they are meant for the mid-range and entry range buyers. In a world where gargantuan phones, as big as tablets, are released regularly, started a trend of “mini” flagships from companies like Samsung and HTC. They were supposed to be just scaled down versions of their popular flagship devices to cater to the market that just doesn’t want huge screens; instead they were scaled down even from the inside. They sported the same design, but a ton of compromises were made otherwise. A lot of companies followed suit with this, with their own “mini” offerings, and so did Sony, but with a twist.

Specifications of the Xperia Z2 Tablet leaked yesterday. Few hours back evleaks has posted the first press render of the upcoming Sony Xperia tablet. This reveals a new Android 4.4 KitKat UI with a new wallpaper. You can also see the huge bezel.
