Droid 2 is the successor to the old, but popular Motorola Droid, which is known as the one of the most sold Android devices ever. One of Engadget’s loyal reader, known as Dominic was just chilling around on Droid Does website and he was looking for some hints in the Droid teaser site, and then suddenly he discovered an image of the Droid 2 hidden in the Shockwave Flash file. Here it is people, the long awaited Motorola and Verizon flagship device, the Droid X. The Droid X is now available for purchase on Verizon Wireless online store, so go fast and get your phone asap before it goes out of stock, did I say out of stock? Verizon Summer catalog leaked, confirms Droid 2!

BGR got their hands on the leaked Verizon Wireless Summer device catalog, in which we will see a lot of interesting things. The most interesting thing we will see is the successor of the Original Droid/Milestone (read our review), the Droid 2 (and the image above confirmed that the phone will be called Droid 2). We are only waiting for Verizon to come out and announce the Droid 2. The image confirms that the announcement of the Droid 2 is around the corner, and Verizon will launch the phone later this Summer. The images also confirms the specs of the Droid 2. Verizon: We have inventory to meet customer needs around the Droid X

Verizon and Motorola worked very hard on the Droid X which is about to hit the market on July 15th. Droid X is one of the best devices ever made by Motorola, and it’s going to be Verizon’s beloved flagship device. We also saw Verizon launching the Droid Incredible a while ago, which is no doubt a good phone. But the phone got evil eye of people who hate Verizon, and it goes out of stock due to the shortage of AMOLED screen. Sprint considering on LTE and T-Mobile merger

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse was talking to the Financial Times, while giving the interview, Dan Hesse said that “We have the spectrum resources where we could add LTE if we choose to do that, on top of the WiMAX network. The beauty of having a lot of spectrum is we have a lot of flexibility.” That means that Sprint is also considering on LTE, not only on 4G (WiMax). There is no doubt in it that LTE is more faster than WiMax. Sprint WiMax partner, Clearwire also said that LTE is a possibility in the future. Sprint facing EVO 4G shortage, launches 4G coverage in 7 new cities!

Recently HTC launched 2 new handsets, Droid Incredible on Verizon and HTC EVO 4G on Sprint. Both phones are very good and both devices are current flagship devices of their carriers. But both phones are facing a problem, and it’s “shortage”. If you go to any Verizon store near you, you will not be able to buy the Droid Incredible from the store because of the shortage, but Verizon made a smart move and people who pre-ordered the Droid Incredible will get a Droid X, which is coming out on July 15. Motorola WX445 Android device leaked, headed to Verizon?

Folks over at Engadget got their hands on the leaked screenshot of an upcoming Motorola Android device that will hit Verizon. The phone name is unknown but it’s model number is Motorola WX445. it’s a low-end Android phone, that’s running Android 2.1 with MotoBlur, It comes with an unknown pixel camera, the touchscreen is about 2.5 or 3 inches, and it’s running on 1170mAh battery. Engadget is told that it’s not an impressive device like the Droid X or EVO 4G, it’s just a simple cheap device for casual use. Verizon 4G LTE Trial in Boston

As many of you might know there is a ongoing battle between  LTE (Long Term Evolution) and WiMax which are both 4G(4th Generation) Wireless Standards . Sprint has decided to go with WiMax as their 4G standard whereas Verizon believes in LTE. Verizon Wireless is already conducting LTE trials in Boston , USA in a Pizzeria.
