Airtel launches 4G LTE services in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, now in 150 towns in Kerala

Airtel launched its 4G LTE services in Kochi, Kerala back in August last year. Today the company has launched it in Guruvayoor and Kottayam, taking the number of its 4G towns in Kerala to 150. Airtel 4G is available to customers across mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in the cities. For existing Airtel customers, the company is offering a complimentary upgrade to Airtel 4G at same price as 3G. Idea Cellular selects Nokia for 4G LTE in Kerala, AP and Haryana

Idea Cellular has selected Nokia to provide the technology for its 4G LTE rollout in three of its key regional circles – Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Haryana. Nokia will also expand Idea Cellular’s 3G network in four circles, as well as modernizing and expanding its 2G networks in six circles. Airtel to acquire Aircel’s 4G spectrum in 8 circles for Rs. 3500 crore

Bharti Airtel has announced that the company and its subsidiary, Bharti Hexacom have entered into definitive agreements with Aircel and its subsidiaries, Dishnet Wireless to acquire rights to use 20 MHz of 2300 Band 4G spectrum for eight circles – Tamil Nadu (including Chennai), Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Assam, North East, Andhra Pradesh and Orissa for an aggregate consideration of Rs. 3,500 crore.

Airtel launches 4G services in Kurnool, now in 40 towns in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana

Airtel has commercially launched its 4G LTE services in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh. With the roll out, 4G is now present in 25 towns in the state. It has also expanded 4G coverage in 15 towns in the state of Telangana . Airtel 4G is now available in mobile phones, dongles, 4G hotspots and Wi-Fi dongles in these towns. BSNL to launch 4G in 14 telecom circles

BSNL is the latest telecom company that is foraying into 4G and is looking forward to launch services in 14 telecom circles, according to a latest report from PTI.
