Idea Cellular has launched its 3G services in Idukki district including towns in high range like Adimali, Munnar, Kattapana, Thekkady, Mayiladumpara, Anakara, Cheruthony, Kumily, Thadiyampadu and Nedumkandam. Idea 3G is now available across all the districts in Kerala. Idea launched 3G service in Kerala last April that is available in Kottayam, Kochi, Calicut, Trichur, Palghat, Kannur, Malapuram, Alleppey, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Trivandrum and Nedumangad. Nokia to shut down mobile money business
Nokia to shut down their Mobile Money business including the Nokia Money, according to a report by The Hindu. Nokia announced the Nokia Money in 2009 and launched it in partnership with YES Bank in 2010. Later they launched it with Union Bank in 2011. They launched the Nokia Money service across India in December 2011 which is said to have 2 lakh subscribers in total with 1.2 million subscribers across all 3 platforms. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) has announced that they would use common Access Point Name (APN) for its GSM post paid and prepaid customers across Delhi and Mumbai. The Access Point Name is a configurable network identifier used by a mobile device when connecting to WAP/Web services, MMS or Internet services on GSM/3G networks. Complete Apple iPad 2 Line-Up gets a Price Cut in India
Apple has cut the price of all models of the iPad 2 in India after it announced the new version of the iPad earlier this week in the US.The entry level iPad 2 WiFi model gets the biggest cut of Rs.5000 whereas other models see cuts between Rs.2000 and Rs.4000. We already told you about the price of the 16GB WiFi only iPad 2 dropping to Rs.24500 , now we have confirmation from Apple that the entire iPad 2 line up will see a discount.

Apple iPad 2 Price Drops to Rs.24500 in India
Apple announced the next-gen iPad last night at an event in San Francisco and also reduced the price of the iPad 2 16GB version to $399 in the US. Today morning we heard from Apple India that the price cut is effective in India as well. The 16GB WiFi only version of the iPad 2 is now available for Rs.24500. The 16GB WiFi+3G version now retails for Rs.32900.Apple has not yet declared the Indian pricing for the third generation iPad which packs a Retina display. It will reveal the Indian pricing closer to the launch. Don’t head out to the stores now and expect the new pricing for the new iPad 2 to be effective immediately as it might take a few days for the news to be communicated to the retail network. Couple of Apple Stores we spoke to were selling the iPad 2 at the same old price as of today morning.
Airtel offers Double data on GPRS packs in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh
Airtel has doubled the data benefits on its GPRS packs for its pre-paid customers in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. These packs range from Rs 12 to Rs 98 that would offer double data. Rs 149 will continue to offer 4GB of data including 2GB of night data (11 PM to 6AM) and 200 MB of Facebook data.
