Redmi Note 8T with 6.3-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 665, 48MP quad rear cameras, NFC announced

After rumors, Xiaomi has officially introduced Redmi Note 8T, a version of the Redmi Note 8 for the European market. This comes with NFC support, while other specifications are similar including a 6.39-inch Full HD+ LCD screen, Snapdragon 665 11nm Mobile Platform with up to 6GB RAM, 48-megapixel main camera with 4-in-1 pixel binning for low-light shots, 8-megapixel 120° ultra-wide angle lens, 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor for 2cm macro shots and a 13-megapixel camera on the front. Xiaomi Mi Watch with 1.78-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon Wear 3100, 4G VoLTE via eSIM announced

Xiaomi just announced Mi watch, the company’s first smartwatch in the Mi Ecosystem in China, as it had promised. It has a 1.78-inch AMOLED touch screen with support for over 100 watch faces, is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 with 1GB of RAM, runs Wear OS with MIUI for Watch on top with over 40 apps and has support for eSIM for 4G VoLTE calling through all the major operators in China such as China Telecom and China Unicom. It has a 6.47-inch Full HD+ curved AMOLED display with 3.43mm small chin, is powered by Snapdragon 730G with up to 8GB of RAM, runs Android Pie with MIUI 11, 3D glass back, NFC, 1cc loud speaker, 3.5mm audio jack with Hi-Res audio support and a 5260mAh (5160mAh minimum) battery with support for 30W fast charging that can charge the phone to 58% in 30 minutes and 100% in 65 minutes. Xiaomi Mi TV 5 Pro 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch Quantum Dot 4K QLED TVs with 8K video playback announced

Xiaomi just announced its Mi TV 5 series at an event in China, as it had promised. Both come in 55-inch, 65-inch and 75-inch models, but the Mi TV 5 Pro feature Quantum Dot 4K QLED panels and the frame is 47.1% narrower than the Mi TV 4 series offering 97% screen-to-body ratio for an immersive experience. These have metal body with integrated curved frame so the back plate has no screws. The 55-inch model just 5.9mm at its thinnest point, 65-inch is 6mm and the 75-inch model is 9.9mm. Xiaomi is India’s largest exclusive offline brand: Channelplay Research

Xiaomi has emerged as India’s biggest exclusive offline brand in India, according to a market research survey conducted by Channel Play, a Retail Execution & Measurement company in India. The survey evaluated 11 product based industries and concluded Xiaomi as the largest in the country, with Samsung in second place.

Update: November 1, 2019 — Xiaomi has confirmed that the phone will feature 4-axis OIS for both 108MP main camera and the Telephoto lens for stable shooting. It also confirmed 32MP front camera with  wide video recording with 50mm focal length, cinematic background blur, and 12 movie filters.

Xiaomi opens crowdfunding for Mi Smart Bedside Lamp 2 in India for Rs. 2299

Xiaomi today opened crowd funding for its new Mi Smart Bedside Lamp 2 in India. It is a 12W lamp with 400 Lumens output, and you can control the lamp through the app, and choose from 16 million colors. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant as well as Apple HomeKit. Xiaomi Mi CC9 Pro with 6.47-inch FHD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 730G, up to 12GB RAM, 108MP camera, 5260mAh battery gets certified

Update: Xiaomi has confirmed that in addition to the 108MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture, the phone will feature a 12MP 1/2.6-inch 2PD sensor with 1.4um for 2x zoom and portrait with 50mm focal length. This is the same sensor used in the Samsung Galaxy S9, says the company.  There is also 20MP  117° ultra-wide angle camera and a super macro lens for 1.5cm macro shots. It already confirmed 5x optical zoom, now it has confirmed 10x hybrid zoom and 50x digital zoom with a telephoto lens.

This will be the world’s first smartphone with 108MP 1/1.33-inch Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX  sensor to go on sale, since the Mi MIX Alpha concept phone that was introduced last month will be avialable only at the end of December.
