Xiaomi leads Smart TV sales in Q3 2019 with 69% YoY growth: IDC

Redmi K30 5G with 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 765G, 64MP quad rear cameras and Redmi K30 with Snapdragon 730G announced

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand just announced the Redmi K30 5G and 4G versions at an event in China, as it had promised. It packs a 6.67-inch Full HD+ 120Hz LCD screen with 4.38mm, dual-punch-hole screen with 91% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to 4.25mm ultra-narrow bottom frame. The K30 5G is the world’s first phone to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 765G with support for built-in 5G stand alone and non-stand alone (SA/NSA) sub-6GHz networks. The Redmi K30 4G is powered by Snapdragon 730G instead of Snapdragon 765G and lacks 5G support. Redmi K30 4G version with 6.67-inch FHD+ dual punch-hole display, Snapdragon 730G, 64MP quad rear cameras gets certified

Xiaomi’s Redmi brand already confirmed Redmi K30 series will be introduced on December 10th. Now the Redmi K30 4G version has been certified by TENAA with the model numbers M1912G7BE and M1912G7BC that confirms the complete specifications of the phone. This shows a large 6.67-inch FHD+ LCD screen with dual punch-hole design and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Xiaomi confirms Redmi K30 will be powered by Snapdragon 765G 5G Mobile Platform, Mi 10 with Snapdragon 865 coming in Q1 2020

At the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit, Xiaomi co-founder and VP Bin Lin announced that Mi 10, the company’s next-gen flagship smartphone and the successor of Mi 9 will be powered by Snapdragon 865 Mobile platform. He also said that it will use Samsung’s 108 MP sensor, same as Mi MIX Alpha, CC9 Pro / Mi Note 10. Next year the company is aiming to introduced 10 5G smartphones, and bring 5G Mi Watch 2. Xiaomi Mi Credit digital lending platform launched in India officially, offers instant loans of up to Rs. 1 lakh

Xiaomi today launched its Mi Credit digital lending platform in India officially, after running a pilot last year. The company said that during pilot period it has disbursed over 28 crore worth of loans, and 20% of the loans disbursed were for the highest loan value. The company partnered with KreditBee last year, now it has partnered with Aditya Birla Finance Limited, Money View, EarlySalary, CreditVidya and ZestMoney. Xiaomi co-founder Lei Jun steps down as China president as Lu Weibing takes over

Xiaomi has announced that the company’s co-founder Lei Jun will be stepping down as the China president, and Lu Weibing will be replacing him. Wang Xiang, who had been the Senior Vice President of the Group and head of global business, has been promoted as the President of the Group. He will be responsible for the Group’s administrative platform, and will assist the Group’s CEO, Lei Jun, to take charge of the Group’s operations.
