Xiaomi’s second gen Mi TVs launched in India a few weeks back, and we’ve been putting the 49-inch 4A Pro through its paces. With some surprises and a bit more polish, the Mi TV 4A Pro 49-inch looks like it has perfected the winning formula. Follow along for our full review.
Xiaomi just announced Mi MIX 3, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in the Mi MIX series at an event in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display 93.4% screen-to-body ratio, thanks to narrow bottom bezels which is reduced by 4.46mm compared to the Mi MIX 2S. It also has a customized antenna design so the antenna space is reduced by 72%. It is powered by Snapdragon 845 with up to 10GB of RAM, has support for Google ARCore and runs Android 8.1 (Oreo) with support for AI voice assistant as well as a dedicated AI button to launch it.

Xiaomi’s Black Shark just announced the Black Shark Helo Gaming Phone, successor of the Black Shark in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.01-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with HDR support even in games with independent image processing chip, is powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC with up to 10GB RAM, two liquid cooling pipes to keep the phone cool when gaming by reducing the CPU’s core temperature by up to 12-degree, compared to 8-degree in the predecessor.
Earlier today at the 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong, Qualcomm introduced its latest Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform based on 11nm process technology, 2 performance (based on new Cortex A76) cores and 6 effciency cores (based on Cortex A55) as well as enhanced AI Engine, Spectra 250 ISP, Kryo 460 CPUs and Adreno 612 GPU.

Last week Xiaomi confirmed that the Mi MIX 3 will be introduced at an event in Beijing on October 25th. In the past few days the company has confirmed several features of the smartphone, including 24-megapixel Dual front cameras with LED flash, 5G support, 10GB of RAM and more.
Xiaomi today announced that it will hold its Diwali with Mi sale from October 23rd to 25th on mi.com. In the sale it will have Re. 1 flash sale, offer discounts on smartphones and accessories, and will also allow you to grab discount coupons (Rs. 50, Rs. 100, Rs. 200 and Rs. 500) starting October 23rd at 10AM. Xiaomi-backed Black Shark has announced that the Black Shark 2 smartphone succcessor of the Black Shark Gaming Phone that was introduced in China back in April this year, will go official on October 23rd. The phone already got certified by TENAA with model number AWM-A0, revealing a veritical dual rear camera arrangement and rear mounted fingerprint sensor. It also revealed RGB logo on the back.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro is amongst best-selling devices launched this year, Xiaomi launched it running on Android Nougat despite launching in February and later in June rolled out Android Oreo update. Redmi Note 5 Pro runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 mobile platform and devices like Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1, Nokia 6.1 Plus and Motorola One Power with the same SoC are confirmed to receive Android Pie update in the coming month but Xiaomi has not announced their plans about Redmi Note 5 Pro Android Pie update. Xiaomi launched Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro duo in India back in February, the company usually releases successors of devices at an interval of 10-12 months but this year Xiaomi launched Redmi 6 and Redmi 6 Pro within 6 months of launching Redmi 5, and it seems like Xiaomi is preparing to launch Redmi Note 6 Pro in India which was announced last month in Thailand. Mi.com was the first technology e-commerce platform in India to offer a reward program called Reward Mi which was announced by Xiaomi India back in June 2017. Reward Mi is a program to rewards fans with exclusive benefits such as F-codes and discount coupons which can be redeemed on selected products on mi.com. Earlier this year, Xiaomi India announced another reward program called Mi VIP Club for its fans and classified VIP fans into four levels called Silver Class, Gold Class, Platinum Class, and Diamond Class. The device went on sale for the first time on 28th Sep and similar to its predecessor Mi Band 3 is also priced at Rs. 1,999. Xiaomi just announced Mi Box S, its latest 4K box powered by Android TV. This is the successor of Mi Box that was introduced in the US back in 2016. It runs Android TV 8.1, comes with voice remote with Netflix shortcut, Assistant button, app shortcut and supports Google Assistant for easy voice search, and has built-in Chromecast.
