Along with the announcement of Mi MIX 3 5G , Xiaomi also introduced its flagship Mi 9 smartphone for the global markets at its MWC 2019 event. It was introduced in China earlier this week, and packs a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 90.7% screen to body ratio, is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top. Xiaomi Mi 9 with 6.39-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, triple rear cameras, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Xiaomi just announced the Mi 9, the company’s latest flagship smartphone as it had promised. It has a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection and 90.7% screen to body ratio since it has 3.6mm small chin, making it 40% narrower than the Mi 8. It is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform with Game Turbo with real-time CPU/GPU/FPS monitoring, up to 8GB of RAM and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top.

Update – February 15, 2019: Xiaomi CEO has shared new images of the Mi 9 in purple color that that offers unique color since it uses nano-level laser engraving holographic technology and dual layer nano coating.

Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras including ultra wide-angle lens teased for MWC 2019

Earlier today Xiaomi confirmed that it will introduce its flagship Mi 9 smartphone at an event in China on February 20th. It also sent out invites for its MWC 2019 event in February 24th in Barcelona on February 24th. It was expected to introduce Mi Mix 3 5G at the event, now the company has posted a new teaser on Twitter hinting at Mi 9 with triple rear cameras at MWC.

Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras to be announced on February 20

Xiaomi has finally announced that the company’s flagship Mi 9 smartphone, successor of last year’s Mi 8 will be announced on February 20th at an event in China. It also confirmed that is is codenamed “Battle Angel”. The phone was spotted in the wild last week, and the official teaser confirms the design with triple rear cameras and a flash arranged vertically.

Xiaomi Mi 9 with triple rear cameras spotted in the wild as the company confirms Snapdragon 855-powered flagship

Few days back Xiaomi’s product director posted a photo of a smartphone with triple rear cameras on weibo, before removing it. Some users have managed to download it. This will likely be the Mi 9, the company’s upcoming flagship. The image confirms vertical camera arrangement, similar to the predecessor, and this doesn’t have a rear-mounted sensor, so it will likely feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
