Sony Xperia J launched in India for Rs. 18,399


Sony has launched the Xperia J, their new Android Smartphone in India. It went on pre-order online earlier this week and has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It offers an illumination alert for social media updates whenever notifications are received. Sony Xperia SL officially launched at Rs 32,549 in India

Alongside the Xperia Miro, Sony has also launched the Xperia SL here in India today. The phone is powered by a 1.7Ghz dual core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor. The screen is a 720p 4.3″ display and includes a Mobile Bravia engine to boost image quality in videos and the gallery. It went on sale in India back in September. Sony Xperia miro officially launched in India at Rs. 15,249

Sony today launched its latest Xperia handset the Xperia miro in India at a price point of Rs. 15,249. The  specifications include a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 320×480. You can find a 5MP camera over at the back  of the device which is capable of recording at 30FPS. A front facing camera is also included for video calls. Sony Xperia J up for pre-order in India for Rs. 16490


Sony Xperia J is now available for pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. It was announced in Augustat IFA 2012 in Berlin.  The Xperia J has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with gorilla glass protection, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia T Review


Having left the name Sony Ericsson behind it, Sony’s revitalised mobile division is wasting no time in pumping out as many top-tier handsets as possible. The Xperia S has only been on the market for a few months and already it’s getting usurped by the Xperia T – a handset which comes pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC capabilities and a massive 4.6-inch TFT screen.

The other talking point is contained within the device itself in the shape of a Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, backed by 1GB of RAM. Sony is insisting this puts the Xperia T on a level playing field with its quad-core rivals, like the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3, but is this merely empty marketing hype? Sony confirms Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for range of Xperia devices, No Jelly Bean for 2011 Xperia devices


Sony Mobile has confirmed the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for range of Xperia devices. Sony has also said that they have started shipping Xperia T and Xperia TX for the global markets, and the Xperia V would ship soon. These three phones would be the first to get the update in mid-Q1 2013. Sony started rolling out ICS update for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go recently. Earlier this August Sony said that the 2011 Xperia devices might get the Jelly Bean update, but now they have confirmed that those devices that got the Android 4.0.4 update would not be upgraded beyond Ice Cream Sandwich. Rumor: Sony working on a 5 inch 1080p smartphone

According to multiple leaks that have been cataloged by GSMArena, it looks like Sony is working on a new smartphone scheduled to be launched 2013 that will have a 5 inch 1080p display. This device, which has two names depending on the country it’ll launch in, the C660X ‘Yuga’ and the C650X ‘Odin’, has been seen in the NenaMark2 database. Translation: Some Sony engineer with a prototype of this as yet to be unveiled smartphone wanted to see how fast it was, so they ran a benchmark and accidentally uploaded the results to the internet. Sony opens PlayStation Mobile for HTC devices

PlayStation mobile is a cross-platform gaming service which was previously accessible only by  certified devices like the PS Vita and the various Android powered Xperia devices and tablets. Now Sony is opening their service to devices by other manufacturers and their website states they will be supporting a few of the HTC devices.

Sony Mobile has has started rolling out Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia P as they promised last month. This update would bring new features including, new lock screen with improved functionality, Resizable widgets, Extended standby mode, Recent Apps button, WALKMAN, Album and Movies apps. Sony Xperia tipo and tipo dual officially launched in India for Rs. 9999 and Rs. 10499


Sony has officially launched the tipo and the tipo dual in India. Both these phones were announced in June and went on sale in India earlier this month. These phones havea  3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. These devices would come with 500 MB of free 3G data per month for three months for Vodafone subscribers, which is valid till 31st December 2012. Sony introduces range of external battery packs for smartphones

Sony just introduced its new line of external battery packs aimed at smartphones and tablet computers. The capacities being introduced range from 3,500 to 7,000 mAh which should be enough for even the power users. The boxes which weight about 189gms and measure 130.6mm by 12.9mm ensure that the smartphone sized batteries can fit in your pocket.

Sony Xperia tipo Review


Here is the FoneArena review of the Sony Xperia tipo. Sony announced it in June and we unboxed the device last week. It packs in a 3.2-inch (480 x 320 pixels) 262k color TFT display and is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It is slightly larger than the Xperia mini and Sony has replaced the hardware buttons with the capacitive touch buttons. Sony Xperia SL now available in India for Rs. 30999


Sony Xperia SL is now available from online retailers Flipkart and Infibeam in India. It appeared on Sony Website last month and looks similar to the Sony Xperia S but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 processor and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.
