PlayStation Mobile goes live on 3rd October, Fujitsu and Sharp added as partners
Sony has just announced at its TGS conference that it plans to launch its much awaited PlayStation Mobile service on 3rd October. The service aims to bring content like PlayStation One games and exclusive new IPs to your mobile phone. Sony is also pushing a brand new PlayStation Mobile SDK to developers for $99.99 annually. The SDK will be available in November.

Sony Xperia J gets a pre-order price in UK, coming on October 29

Sony Xperia J that was announced at IFA last week has been priced in UK. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that it would be available late October. The Xperia J has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with gorilla glass protection, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It is 9.2 mm thick and weighs 124 grams. As part of its next generation Xperia lineup, Sony just announced the Sony Xperia V. The USP of the device is that it has the highest level of water resistance available in a smartphone. The phone is equipped with LTE. The phone runs on a dual core processor clocked at 1.5Ghz.

Sony Xperia T launched with 13MP camera, NFC and 4.55 inch HD display
The next high end Sony smartphone was just unveiled. Dubbed the Sony Xperia T, it brings a 4.55″ display with a resolution of 1280 x720. Sony calls this the “best HD experience on a phone to date”. The phone is running on Android 4.0 on a 1.5Ghz processor.

Sony announces Xperia Tablet S running Android 4.0
Sony just announced its new Xperia Tablet S at IFA in Berlin. Running on the Tegra 3 chip, the tablet runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Storage can be configured right up to 64GB. The design is quite similar to the previous generation Tablet S but makes use of metal instead of plastic this time around. Weight has been dropped to 1.26 pounds.

Multiple handset vendors make Android phones, but every year Google partners with one company to make a Nexus device. What’s a Nexus? It’s a piece of hardware that runs Android the way Google wants Android to run. No skins, no preinstalled applications, just pure Google software. The first Nexus device, appropriately called the Nexus One, was made by HTC. It launched in January 2010. Less than a year later, in December, Google announced the Samsung made Nexus S. The newest Nexus, known as the Galaxy Nexus, is also a Samsung made device. It was unveiled in October 2011 and then hit the market one month later. Sony to ship Exmor RS CMOS image sensors for Smartphones and Tablets starting from October

Sony announced back-illuminated stacked 8MP and 13MP CMOS image sensors for smartphones and tablets back in January. Now they have announced that they would start shipping these starting from October 2012. The IMX135 type 1/3.06 model with 13.13 effective mega pixels and the IMX134 type 1/4 model with 8.08 effective mega pixels would feature RGBW coding function and HDR (High Dynamic Range) movie function.
