Sony Xperia E and Xperia E dual with 3.5-inch display, 1GHz processor announced

Sony has announced Xperia E and Xperia E dual, new Android Smartphones in the Xperia series. The Xperia E is the single SIM phone, while the Xperia E dual comes with dual-SIM support. These phones have a 3.5-inch (320 x 480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen and is powered by a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A processor similar to the Xperia J. Xperia E comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean), while the Xperia E dual would launch on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony has launched 2 new portable chargers CP-F1L and CP-F2L in India. These chargers let you power your smartphones, tablets and portable devices on-the-go. The CP-F1L is 9.4mm thick, weighs 125 grams and has battery capacity of 3,500mAh. The CP-F2L is 12.9mm thick, weighs 198 gram and has battery capacity of 7,000 mAh. Sony Xperia P, U, Sola and Go new Android 4.0.4 update brings bug fixes and performance improvements


Sony Mobile has started rolling out new Android 4.0.4 (Firmware version 6.1.1.B.1.54) update for Xperia P, Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia Go. This update brings bug fixes and performance improvements including improvements to stability,WiFi, tethering/portable hotspot, camera (capture and playback), NFC and Messaging. Sony rolled out ICS update for Xperia P starting from August and for the Xperia U, Xperia Sola and Xperia G starting from September earlier this year. Sony C6603 gets benchmarked

We have been hearing about a monstrous phone being developed by Sony, which sometimes pops up by the name of Odin and sometimes the Yuga, this phone is considered to have a 5″ display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution (Wow). Well some of the specs of this device has been confirmed by a Nenamark benchmark result, which also confirms the 5″ display with before mentioned resolution. Read on to know more about this device.

Sony Xperia SL Unboxing

Sony Xperia SL went on sale in India back in September, but Sony launched it officially few weeks back. Here we have the unboxing of the Sony Xperia SL. It looks similar to the Sony Xperia S that we reviewed earlier this year, including a 4.3 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 12MP camera with LED flash and a 1.3MP front-facing camera, but it powered by a faster 1.7 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 processor with Adreno 220 GPU and comes with Android 4.0 out of the box.

Here is the unboxing of the Sony Xperia J, a mid-range Android smartphone from Sony that is priced around Rs. 18,000. It is available in India in Black and White colours. Sony announced the Xperia J at IFA 2012 in August and it was launched in India in October. It has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen and is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). The device has good build quality and feels nice in hand. It weighs just 124 grams.

Sony Xperia miro Unboxing

Here is the unboxing of the Sony Xperia miro, a mid-range Android smartphone from Sony that is priced around Rs. 15,000. Sony announced the Xperia miro in June and it was officially launched in India in October. It has a 3.5-inch (320×480 pixels) TFT capacitive touch screen display and is powered by a 800 MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and has a 5 Megapixel auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It comes in black, black pink and white silver colors, and we got the white silver one.

Sony Xperia T and Xperia TX Android 4.0.4 update brings Miracast Mirroring and Extended Standby

Sony Mobile has has started rolling out Android 4.0.4 (Ice Cream Sandwich) update for Xperia T and Xperia TX that brings new features such as Micracast Screen Mirroring, Extended Standby Mode and Media apps such as WALKMAN, Album and Movies. This update would would also bring HD Voice capabilities for the Xperia T. Sony recently announced Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for both the Xperia T and Xperia TX, but this minor update brings some nice features for the Xperia T and TX owners. Sony Xperia J launched in India for Rs. 18,399


Sony has launched the Xperia J, their new Android Smartphone in India. It went on pre-order online earlier this week and has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display and is powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). It has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a VGA front-facing camera. It offers an illumination alert for social media updates whenever notifications are received. Sony Xperia SL officially launched at Rs 32,549 in India

Alongside the Xperia Miro, Sony has also launched the Xperia SL here in India today. The phone is powered by a 1.7Ghz dual core Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon processor. The screen is a 720p 4.3″ display and includes a Mobile Bravia engine to boost image quality in videos and the gallery. It went on sale in India back in September. Sony Xperia miro officially launched in India at Rs. 15,249

Sony today launched its latest Xperia handset the Xperia miro in India at a price point of Rs. 15,249. The  specifications include a 3.5″ display with a resolution of 320×480. You can find a 5MP camera over at the back  of the device which is capable of recording at 30FPS. A front facing camera is also included for video calls. Sony Xperia J up for pre-order in India for Rs. 16490


Sony Xperia J is now available for pre-order in India from online retailer Flipkart. It was announced in Augustat IFA 2012 in Berlin.  The Xperia J has a 4.0-inch (854 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen display with gorilla glass protection, 1 GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), which is upgradable to Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean). Sony Xperia T Review


Having left the name Sony Ericsson behind it, Sony’s revitalised mobile division is wasting no time in pumping out as many top-tier handsets as possible. The Xperia S has only been on the market for a few months and already it’s getting usurped by the Xperia T – a handset which comes pre-loaded with Ice Cream Sandwich, NFC capabilities and a massive 4.6-inch TFT screen.

The other talking point is contained within the device itself in the shape of a Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz dual-core CPU, backed by 1GB of RAM. Sony is insisting this puts the Xperia T on a level playing field with its quad-core rivals, like the HTC One X and Samsung Galaxy S3, but is this merely empty marketing hype?
