Galaxy Nexus volume bug fix rolling out via OTA update
The Samsung Galaxy Neus volume bug is getting fixed through an Over the Air (OTA) firmware update that is rolling out in UK. Some of the Galaxy Nexus owners have been facing volume bug that mutes their device automatically and then becomes unresponsive while keeping their phone in 2G mode. Google has already said that they are working on an update to fix this issue. Samsung announces Exynos 5250 with 2GHz Cortex-A15 dual-core processor
Samsung Electronics has announced their next-generation Cortex-A15 processor equipped with 2.0GHz, high-performance dual-core Exynos 5250 SoC (System on Chip) that would use less power while offering 2x better performance than existing CPUs. It is created using a 32nm-low power HKMG process and could process 2 instructions per second to 14 billion (14,000 DMIPS) while the existing 1.5GHz dual-core Cortex-A9-based products process 2 instructions per second to 7.5 billion (7,500 DMIPS ).This was already rumored back in April this year. The Galaxy Nexus is world’s first phone to run on Android 4.0 which is also known as Ice Cream Sandwich. Google and Samsung unveiled the device in Hong Kong last month and the device went on sale in few markets earlier this month. The handset is priced at around 429 pounds in the UK.The box is unusually long and has the picture of the device on the front and sides.A very simplistic design with subtle marketing material. No mention even of the specs on the outside.The unit we got was a Titanium Silver color. The device boasts of a 4.65 inch SuperAMOLED display with a 720p resolution.It is powered by a 1.2 GHz CPU and packs 16GB of inbuilt storage without an expansion slot. There is a 5MP camera on the back and a 1.3 MP front facing camera. It uses only a normal SIM card slot unlike other recent phones to hit the market like iPhone 4s, Nokia Lumia 800 or Motorola RAZR. Apple’s cult following mocked by Samsung advert
Now who doesn’t love a satire? And a satire it is, the new Samsung Galaxy SII advert telling customers that “the next big thing is already here”. It is funny, refreshing and tremendously daring as it mocks the die-hard Apple’s cult following. Lines such as “I could never get a Samsung – I’m creative,” to which another customer responds “dude, you’re a barista.” crack me up further. The spoof is wholly obscured by remarks like “uh oh – the blogs are saying the battery looks sketchy,” or “if it looks the same, how will people know I upgraded?” but a quick look of an iPhone can be clearly seen in the footage. The 60-second advert points out to some of the SII’s remarkable features – specifically the huge, vivacious screen and 4G potential.

Google to come out with a fix for the Galaxy Nexus Volume bug
We have been hearing about the Galaxy Nexus volume bug from the the day it was launched in U.K. It has been covered by every blog and news portal out there, and the users have been reporting and are unhappy about it. There have also been reports that this bug has something to do with 2G and happens only when 2G is kept on. Many people also thought that this was a hardware bug and the device has to be replaced, but now Google has finally acknowledged and responded to this volume bug.
