
Samsung unveiled the first Windows Phone 8 device, ATIV S at IFA Berlin in August but didn’t reveal the availability or the pricing at that time. Now, UK’s online retailer Clove has announced that it is now availalble for pre-order with them and would ship at the end of this month. Samsung has announced the Galaxy Music. It has dual stereo speakers at the front for better audio and has advanced audio features such as Sound Alive & SRS. It has a 3-inch (240×320) display and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It is powered by a 850 MHz processor. There is a 3 Megapixel Fixed-focus camera at the back and it has a 3.5mm audio Jack and Built in FM Antenna. It has a dedicated music key to launch the music player easily. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 OTA update brings Multiscreen feature

Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy Note 2 that brings Multiscreen feature. This feature was supposed to come pre-loaded, but it started rolling out only through a Over the Air (OTA) update. Samsung Galaxy S III Android 4.1 update starts rolling out in Korea

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S III 3G and LTE versions along with the Galaxy Note in their home ground, Korea. Samsung was the first to offer FroYo and Gingerbread update in Korea, but the Jelly Bean update for the S III started rolling out in Poland and other European countries last month. Samsung develops F2FS file system optimized for NAND storage
Samsung has been working on a solution for NAND flash optimized file systems and has submitted an open source solution to the Linux kernel. The F2FS file system or Flash Friendly File System has been designed keeping in mind the memory requirements of mobile devices. Based on a log-structured method, it tackles problems faced by file systems designed for traditional hard disk storage.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Benchmarks – quad-core Exynos CPU and Mali-400 GPU

Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2, successor of the Galaxy Note in India last week, and we managed to get hold of the device to run some benchmarks. These benchmarks test the performance of the 1.6 GHz quad-core 4412 Exynos processor with Mali 400 GPU. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 topped in most of the benchmarks when compared to the other quad-core devices such as Samsung Galaxy S3, HTC One X and the LG Optimus 4X HD. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 2 in India yesterday and we managed to take some devices from the FoneArena labs to the event for a real life comparison to find out how big the new Note is. While the Note 2 is a lot easier to grip , it is still a big phone. It makes the iPhone 4S look so small when held next to it.

Samsung ATIV Tab gets a pre-order price in UK, coming in October

Samsung ATIV Tab running Windows RT Tablet with Windows UI has received a price tag in UK. Online retailer Clove UK has announced that it would be available in UK by the end of October. Microsoft was the first to reveal their Surface Tablet. The Windows RT version is expected to launch by October-end but they did not reveal the price. Samsung launched the Galaxy Note II in India few hours back. They have also announced that the Galaxy Camera would launch in India in India by Diwali, which is mid-November. Samsung announced the Galaxy Camera at IFA Berlin last month. The 16 Megapixel camera has a F2.8 aperture, 23 mm focal length and 21x Optical Zoom Lens with BSI CMOS sensor. It packs in a 4.77-inch 308 ppi HD Super Clear Touch Display and is powered by an 1.4GHz Quad-Core processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).
