Samsung has introduced the W2016 (SM-W2016), the company’s latest premium flip phone in China, after it got certified on TENAA earlier this month. It packs dual 3.9-inch (1280 x 768 pixels) Super AMOLED displays, so that you can use the phone even when it’s closed. You can flip open to use the other screen with a keyboard. Samsung Galaxy J3 with 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, 4G LTE goes official

Samsung has introduced the most rumored Galaxy J3 (SM-J3109Z) smartphone finally in China. It packs a 5-inch HD Super AMOLED display, compared to 4.7-inch qHD AMOLED screen on the Galaxy J2 that was launched in India in September. It is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop) OS with Samsung’s own UI on top, comes with a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Samsung Galaxy On7 Benchmarks

Samsung launched the Galaxy On7 in India earlier this month, priced at Rs. 10,990 exclusively on Flipkart. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 (MSM8916) SoC that has four ARM Cortex-A53 CPUs clocked at 1.19 GHz per core and Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 400 MHz, similar to most of the A and E series smartphones.  It has 1.5GB RAM, 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) display and runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop). Exynos 7580 powered Samsung Galaxy A7 spotted on AnTuTu

Up until now, the upcoming update to the Samsung Galaxy A7 was believed to be packing a Snapdragon 615 processor, similar to the first version that was launched earlier this year. Now, a new listing on AnTuTu shows that there could be another version, one that is packing an Exynos 7580 processor.

We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by a quad-core quad-core Exynos 3475 28nm processor with four ARM’s Cortex A7 CPUs clocked at 1.3GHz and has Mali-T720 GPU. It packs 1.5GB of RAM, has a 5-inch HD display and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop) with Samsung’s own UI on top. Samsung introduces BRITECELL camera technology

Samsung introduced the first 16MP camera sensor with 1.0 micron pixels for smartphones back in July. The sensor is just 5mm high, about 20 percent thinner than current 1.12 micron-pixel based 16MP sensors, hence it has minimal camera protrusion without compromising on resolution. At the Samsung Electronics 2015 Investors Forum earlier this week, it introduced (Via) new BRITECELL or Bright cell technology, which replaces traditional green pixel in the RGB, a value pattern with a white pixel to create RWB for brighter images even in low lighting conditions. A lucky Samsung Galaxy Note5 user receives update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow

Just yesterday, we reported the leaked roadmap for the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade path for Samsung phones. In the roadmap, the Galaxy Note5 along with the S6 edge+ was scheduled to receive an update to Marshmallow in December 2015. However, one lucky user has apparently already received the update to Marshmallow on his T-Mobile Note5.

Samsung Android 6.0 roadmap surfaces – Note5 and S6 Edge+ to get Marshmallow in December

A software update roadmap for Samsung devices has just appeared online and it lists out 2 phases of updates for phones to Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Samsung Galaxy Note5 and S6 edge+ will be the first to get it as they are scheduled for an update in December 2015 itself.

Samsung Exynos 8 Octa 8890 14nm 64-bit processor with custom CPU cores, Mali T880 GPU official

After several leaks Samsung has made the Exynos 8 Octa 8890 official. It is based on 14nm FinFET process technology, similar to the Exynos 7 Octa that was introduced earlier this year, but this uses the company’s first custom designed CPU cores based on 64-bit ARMv8 architecture. Instead of ARM Cortex-A57 cores and Cortex-A53 cores in the Exynos 7 Octa, this uses four custom cores and four ARM Cortex-A53 cores. It also uses heterogeneous big.LITTLE structure for efficient usage of the eight cores, similar to its earlier Exynos Octa processors. Samsung introduced Galaxy Golden, a flip phone with dual displays in China back in 2013 and the phone was launched in India in the same year at a huge price tag of Rs. 49,900. The Galaxy Golden 2 (SM-W2015) got certified on TENAA last year, but Samsung did not release the phone, now the Galaxy Golden 3 (SM-W2016) has passed through TENAA, but it is not clear if Samsung would release the phone.
