Samsung launched the J7 (2016) smartphone in India at Rs. 15,990. We already brought you the unboxing of the smartphone, here we have its benchmarks. It is powered by an Octa-Core Exynos 7870 14nm 64-bit processor that has eight ARM Cortex A53 cores clocked at 1.59GHz per core. It has Mali-830 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 5.5-inch 720p AMOLED screen and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). Check out the synthetic benchmark scores below.
As part of the Galaxy J series of phones, Samsung introduced two new devices at an event in Delhi. While the Samsung Galaxy J5 marks the lower end of the spectrum, the Galaxy J7 is the larger of the two. Like the J5, the J7 too focusses on premium build quality and design. Samsung has launched Galaxy J5 (2016) and J7 (2016), two new smartphones in the new J series, as it had promised. These were announced in March in China. The Galaxy J5 (2016) has a 5.2-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, while the J7 (2016) has a 5.5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen. Both these have a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, f/1.9 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash for capturing better selfies. These have dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity.
