POCO today announced POCO X4 Pro 5G, the company’s latest mid-range 5G smartphone, at its global event. This has almost similar specifications as the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G including a 6.67″ FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED DotDisplay with a 16MP camera, Snapdragon 695 with up to 8GB of RAM, support for liquid cooling 108MP rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera, support for liquid cooling, but this has a different design. POCO M4 Pro with 6.43″ FHD+ 90Hz AMOLED display, Helio G96, up to 8GB RAM, 5000mAh battery launched in India starting at Rs. 14999

POCO has launched the POCO M4 Pro, the company’s latest smartphone in the M4  series in India, as it had promised. It has a 6.43-inch Full HD+ AMOLED screen with 90Hz refresh rate, 16MP selfie camera inside the punch-hole, is powered by Helio G96 SoC with support for liquid cooling technology, up to 8GB of RAM with up to 3GB RAM booster option, and packs a 64MP main camera, 8MP ultra-wide, and a 2MP macro camera. POCO M4 Pro with 64MP triple rear cameras launching in India on February 28

Update: Feb 24- POCO has confirmed that the phone will feature a 64MP rear camera along with a 118° ultra-wide camera and a 2MP 4cm macro camera on the back, and a 16MP camera on the front. POCO has launched POCO M4 Pro 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in India, as it had announced. The phone was introduced in the global markets back in November, and has almost similar specifications as the Redmi Note 11T 5G that was launched last year. This includes a 6.6-inch FHD+ screen with 50Hz, 60Hz and 90Hz dynamic switch, 16MP front camera inside the punch-hole,  Dimensity 810 SoC with support for 13 5G SA/NSA bands, up to 8GB of RAM along with Turbo RAM capability extending the device RAM up to 11GB. POCO launched the POCO M2 Pro handset last year in India. The POCO M2 Pro shares a lot in common with the Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. All these devices came preloaded with Android 10, and have already been updated to Android 11 based MIUI 12. It’s not clear if Xiaomi and POCO have plans to upgrade these devices to Android 12 based MIUI.

Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime and POCO M2 MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Stable Update Rolling Out

Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Update for the Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, and Redmi 9 Prime in India. Redmi 9 Prime’s POCO counterpart POCO M2 is also receiving the same update in India. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update also brings November 2021 Android security patch to Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G, Redmi 9 Prime, and POCO M2. MIUI 12.5 Enhanced comes with features like Focused Algorithm, Atomized Memory, Liquid Storage, Smart Balance, and also lets users Uninstall most of the system apps.

POCO F1 MIUI 12 Software Update Tracker [Update: MIUI 12.5 / 12.5 Enhanced not coming]

Xiaomi’s sub-brand POCO launched the POCO F1 smartphone in India back in August 2018 running MIUI 9.6 Global Stable on top of Android 8.1 (Oreo). POCO F1 currently runs Android 10 based MIUI 11, and is confirmed to get MIUI 12 in the coming months. Xiaomi doesn’t follow any fixed update frequency for the MIUI Global Stable ROM but on average, the Global Stable ROM is updated once in 20-40 days.
