South Korean government agency says Samsung chip factory caused Cancer


Working at a Samsung chip factory caused Cancer to a worker who died earlier this year, says the Korea Workers’ Compensation and Welfare Service agency, according to a recent report. The women died of breast cancer this March this year had worked in Samsung’s factory for 5 years, 1995 to 2000. Over 2 Million iPhone 5’s Sold in China During Launch Weekend

This evening, Apple announced that the sales of the iPhone 5 exceeded two million units in its first weekend of availability in China.

“Customer response to iPhone 5 in China has been incredible, setting a new record with the best first weekend sales ever in China,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “China is a very important market for us and customers there cannot wait to get their hands on Apple products.”

Back in September, the sales of the iPhone 5 exceeded over 5 million during its initial launch in 9 countries including the U.S.

Nokia Lumia 920 Unboxing

Nokia unveiled the Lumia 920, their latest flagship device that runs on the Windows Phone 8 back in September. Here we have the unboxing. The box looks similar to the boxes of the previous Lumia devices. The device has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) Pure Motion HD+ IPS display with 332 PPI pixel density and 600 Nits brightness. It is one of the best smartphone displays . It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor.

Nokia Lumia 505 with Windows Phone 7.8 goes official

Nokia Lumia 505 that was surfaced earlier this month has gone official for Mexico. The design of the Lumia 505 is similar to the Lumia 800. It comes with a 3.7-inch (800 x 480 pixels) AMOLED clear black display and runs on Windows Phone 7.8. It has a 8MP EDOF camera, unlike the other Lumia devices that has auto focus camera. It is 11.3 mm thick and weighs 131 grams. No details about the processor yet, but it is likely to come with a 800 MHz Snapdragon S1 processor similar to Lumia 510. Dropbox 2.0 with updated interface, new photos tab released for iOS

Dropbox today released an updated iOS application for its extremely popular cloud-synchronization service. Responding to user demand, the application serves not just for browsing files but also makes for a media viewer for cloud based files. A dedicated Photos tab takes advantage of the automatic uploads facility built in for Dropbox on mobile devices organizes photos by the time taken.

Google pulls support for Exchange ActiveSync as part of winter cleaning

Google has announced its plans to do a bit of ‘Winter Cleaning‘ and as a part of it, the company will stop supporting Exchange ActiveSync for Gmail, Contacts and Calendar. Access will only be provided via IMAP, CalDAV and CardDAC which means that legacy devices such as Symbian phones  will no longer be able to connect to Google’s services.

Karbonn A30 smartphone with 5.9″ screen launched at Rs. 10,990

Karbonn, the maker of entry level Android smartphones, has launched its newest device called the Karbonn A30. The dual SIM handset runs on Android 4.0 ICS. The smartphone is powered by a 1Ghz dual core processor which promises improved gaming performance and a better web browsing experience. While we’re a bit short on details here, we expect the phone to be powered by Mediatek’s dual core solution.

Lava XOLO A800 Dual SIM Android Smartphone now available for Rs. 11999

Google has no plans to build Windows 8, WP8 apps

Hoping to use an official Gmail or Youtube app on your brand new Windows Phone device ? You might be out of luck as the company is not too keen on bringing its products to Microsoft’s mobile offering.
