Sony Xperia 10 VII with 6.1″ FHD+ 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, IP65/IP68 ratings announced

Sony has introduced the Xperia 10 VII, the company’s mid-range 5G smartphone as the successor to last year’s Xperia 10 VI. It has a 6.1-inch 19.5:9 Full HD+ OLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate finally and gets a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC.

The phone has 8GB of RAM and runs Android 15, and will get six years of security updates and up to four OS version upgrades. It gets a 50MP (main) camera with Exmor RS sensor for mobile, 13MP (ultra-wide) and an 8MP front camera.

It weighs just 168 grams even though it packs a 5,000mAh battery. The new dedicated camera ‘shutter button’ instantly launches the camera and enables simultaneous shooting for an enhanced camera experience, and it gets improved Front-facing speakers. The phone has IP65 and IP68 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Bluetooth transmission power has been doubled compared to the previous model to ensure an even more reliable connection. Additionally, during AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) connections, the device temporarily adjusts the sound quality to prioritise connectivity in crowded or unstable environments, allowing users to enjoy content viewing regardless of location, said Sony.
