OnePlus, the successful upstart, is around here for a few years now, with some really good smartphones up in its portfolio. This prospering company never fails when it comes to producing quality smartphone at a rather cheaper price packing latest specifications. Now, OnePlus is all set to unveil its next flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 in a span of few weeks. Before, that, let’s take a look back at OnePlus and the different devices it’s put out over the years. OnePlus has finally released the first image of its upcoming OnePlus 6 smartphone that shows the side frame of the phone. The OnePlus 5T is placed on top of the OnePlus 6 that shows that the successor will have a similar size. It shows a new antenna teasing unlike the warp-around design in the 5T. The SIM slot and volume rockers are on the left side of the phone, which coincides with earlier leak. The three-step slider has been moved to the other side, as revealed in an earlier image showing the notch. OnePlus 6 will have an option to hide the notch

Last week OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei confirmed that the OnePlus 6 will have a notch and shared the reason for having a notch. Later the CEO Pete Lau shared more details about the screen and the notch on the forum saying that the phone will have a compatibility mode that will let you black out the sides of the notch when in landscape mode when watching videos or playing games . The CEO also said that the mode has been tested with the 1000 most popular apps in the Play Store, and it works wonderfully.

OnePlus 6 8GB RAM with 256GB Storage version confirmed by the CEO

Few hours back OnePlus released a teaser saying that the phone will have “the speed you need,” and also confirmed the OnePlus 6 name. Now, in a new post CEO Pete Lau discussed about the performance of the upcoming flagship and said that that company has created specialized team called Team FSE (Fast, Stable, Efficient) to focus solely on maximizing the power of our flagship devices.

2018 has been the year of Android phones with iPhone X-style top-notch and for many obvious reasons, there has been a negative fuss surrounding it claiming to be a blunt rip off of the iPhone X.  Truth be spoken, there is no better alternative to bring in more screen real-estate without including a top notch. Yes, Apple has included a bunch of sensors including the Face ID in the top notch, and, Android-powered smartphones just have the regular sensor and front camera, but there is no better way to bring in an impressive screen-to-body ratio without designing it with a notch. OnePlus 6 with bamboo back, vertical dual rear camera arrangement surfaces

Last year OnePlus CEO said that that the OnePlus 6 with Snapdragon 845 will be introduced by the end of Q2 2018. Earlier this week a mysterious phone surfaced in benchmarks, which is rumored to be OnePlus 6. Now the first image of the phone has surfaced, thanks to @evleaks.

OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T Android 8.1 Oreo OxygenOS beta update starts rolling out

OnePlus 5 got the Android 8.0 (Oreo) update earlier this year and the OnePlus 5T got the Oreo update last month. Now the company has started rolling out OxygenOS Open Beta 6 and Open Beta 4 for the 5 and 5T, respectively that brings Android 8.1 Oreo for both. This also brings new Gaming mode optimizations, new auto pickup gesture for incoming call and the OnePlus Switch has been updated to support migration of application data.
