Nokia Asha 503 leaked, shows off dual shot casing in a press image

The Nokia World event in Abu Dhabi is just weeks away but it looks like all the phones that are scheduled to be launched have already been leaked out. Nokia are supposedly launching new Ashas at the event, as we have seen already with the leak of the Asha 500, and the same leakster evleaks has now posted a press image of the Asha 503. Modeled to look much like the Asha 501, the 503 looks to have a dual shot casing with the outer case being transparent. We saw something similar with the Asha 500 too.

Twitter for Windows Phone updated with Dark Theme option and Lock Screen highlights

It’s been a while since the official Twitter for Windows Phone app got its updates. It had unsurprisingly missed the conversation thread update iOS and Android received. While that feature has still evaded the platform, we have news of an update for the app. The app now arguably brings more choices and interesting changes to the Twitter experience on your Windows Phone. Most notable of the new additions are the new dark theme option and lock screen highlights. Users can now choose between a light and dark theme and have Twitter set as the lock screen picture(using Windows Phone 8’s unique feature) to show recent highlights from your feed.

Krrish 3 Game now available as a timed exclusive for Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 devices

Krrish 3, a highly anticipated Bollywood movie this year, is following the same route as previous big budget Bollywood as well as Hollywood movies by releasing a game just before the movie release. The Krrish 3 game is now available as a free download, but as a timed exclusive on Microsoft Platforms – Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8. It is currently available for download on Windows Phone 8 and it is expected to arrive on Windows 8 by the end of this week. Here’s the game’s trailer released on YouTube –

Nokia Lumia 1020 Leather Case Hands On

Amongst the many accessories that Nokia launched along with the Lumia 1020, like the Wireless charging shell and the Camera Grip we already went hands on with, there was another limited edition accessory that made its way into the list, albeit very silently for any one to notice. And that accessory, as revealed by our friends at the PureViewClub is the Limited Edition Leather Case for the 41 Megapixel Lumia. We were in Hong Kong recently, and were really lucky to get our hands on it. So, here’s a photo walkthrough of the case, with our hands on impressions.

Nokia Lumia 1520 leaks in red, expected to launch at Nokia World

We’ve seen more than our fair share of leaks for the Lumia 1520. Today’s leak courtesy of @evleaks gives us a glimpse of the red variant of the upcoming handset. The phone will mark a new high for Nokia and will bring the much wanted top of the line specs to the Windows Phone platform.

Nokia Lumia 1020 up for pre-order in India for Rs. 49999

Nokia launched the Lumia 1020, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in India last week, but they did not announce the pricing. Nokia said they would announce the price only on October 10th, a day before the launch, now the phone is available for pre-order from the official Nokia Shop for Rs 49,999. The Lumia 1020 has a 4.5-inch (1280 × 768 pixels) AMOLED capacitive touch screen ClearBlack display with Pure Motion HD+ technology. It is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs on the latest Windows Phone 8 OS with Amber update. Nokia Smartwatch Leaked?

Two pictures of a purported Nokia Smartwatch have leaked onto the internet. Could this be announced at the Nokia World event on the 22nd of October, or is it just some long forgotten prototype? We all know that the wearable gadget revolution is here. Google brought its Glass into the limelight with a firm vision(pun intended) on the future, Pebble made its Smartwatch, followed by Samsung with its Galaxy Gear and Sony with its second version of its pioneering Smartwatch. With the leak, it looks like even Nokia, which is all ready to get acquired by Microsoft, has or had its own plans for a wearable gadget.

Nokia HERE maps for Windows Phone to come with incremental updates

After selling out to Microsoft, one of the businesses that was left to the Finnish company was Nokia HERE Maps. Nokia HERE maps is one of the popular navigation tools and its best feature is that it is available offline. Nokia was the first to introduce Vector maps for smartphones and have been innovating in the digital maps field ever since its inception. The latest piece of innovation is the introduction of incremental updates to HERE offline maps.

Storyteller app for Nokia Lumia 1520 and 2520 Sirius Tablet leaked, Zoe Highlights remixed?

We all know that Nokia is gearing up for a big reveal at Nokia World on October 22nd, but it seems that it’s not going to be just hardware, but Software too. The Nokia Lumia 1520 “Bandit” and the Lumia 2520 “Sirius” are two of the six devices that Nokia are purportedly going to announce at the event in Abu Dhabi, and thanks to @evleaks, we now have a glimpse of a new app called “Storyteller” that’s going to launch for both these devices with the different form factors. The app looks like a neatly arranged photo album with possibly Zoe Highlights-like features? Certainly looks better than the in-built Photos app, we will give it that.

Nokia India introduced the Nokia Lumia Smart Buy Back offers on purchase of Lumia 620 and Lumia 520 smartphones last month. Now the offer has been extended to Lumia 925 and the Lumia 625. . In the Nokia Lumia Smart Buy Back offer users get Rs. 10000 discount on Lumia 925 and Rs. 7000 discount on Lumia 625, in exchange for old smartphones. Since Nokia offers discounts on MRP instead of MOP the effective price after the discount would be less. Nokia still continues the offer on the Lumia 620 and 520. Nokia Lumia 1020 Camera Grip and Wireless Charging shell launched for Rs. 7,500 and Rs. 3,200 respectively

The Nokia Lumia 1020 has finally launched in India today, at an event in New Delhi. The 41 Megapixel PureView camera had been doing its victory lap as one of the best camera phones around the world and it has finally reached destination India, alas without a price tag. But along with the Lumia 1020, accessories were also launched, namely the Camera Grip and the Wireless Charging shell. Weirdly enough, the accessories have been priced, with the Camera Grip coming at Rs. 7,500 and the Wireless Charging shell coming in at Rs. 3,200. Nokia has finally launched the Lumia 1020, the company’s latest flagship smartphone as they promised, but they did not announce the price of the device yet. The Lumia 1020 is the first Windows Phone device to feature a 41-megapixel camera sensor. It also has 6 lens optics similar to the Lumia 925 and also comes with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) that was first introduced in the Lumia 920. The Lumia 1020 has Xenon flash to shoot better images in low lighting condition and also LED flash for video recording. Nokia Camera App to combine features of Pro Cam and Smart Cam

Nokia launched the Lumia 1020 back in July and the talking point of the phone was its 41MP camera and its Pro Cam application that gave the phone a complete control of the camera. Prior to the Pro Cam on Lumia 1020, Nokia had its signature Smart camera application on the Nokia Lumia 925 that takes a lot of photos at a time and lets you manipulate them.
