We all know that Nokia is gearing up for a big reveal at Nokia World on October 22nd, but it seems that it’s not going to be just hardware, but Software too. The Nokia Lumia 1520 “Bandit” and the Lumia 2520 “Sirius” are two of the six devices that Nokia are purportedly going to announce at the event in Abu Dhabi, and thanks to @evleaks, we now have a glimpse of a new app called “Storyteller” that’s going to launch for both these devices with the different form factors. The app looks like a neatly arranged photo album with possibly Zoe Highlights-like features? Certainly looks better than the in-built Photos app, we will give it that.
The Story Teller app, at least from the screenshot above, looks to have a unified design for phone as well as tablet, which makes us wonder if some kind of inter-operability is coming with Windows Phone GDR3, but that’s highly unlikely. Arranged in a timeline-like chronological order with months being the apparent “dots”. The photos are neatly arranged with the highlights in bigger tiles.
With separate titles for some highlights on the tablet version, we are wondering if they are a slideshow feature like the HTC Zoe Highlights that automatically makes a nice little video of the photos from an event. If that is the planned feature, it will definitely make the regular travelers enthused. But don’t take our word for it, we will let you know once it officially launches at the Nokia World event on October 22.
