New Nokia 106 with long battery life launched in India for Rs. 1299

HMD Global has launched new Nokia 106 feature phone as the successor of the old Nokia 106 in India. It was introduced in November last year, has the same 1.8-inch (160 x 128 pixels) TFT display with 4-way Navi Key and the same 800mAh battery as the predecessor, but this promises 15.7 hours talk time.

Nokia 9 penta-camera smartphone with in-display fingerprint sensor surfaces in first press render

After several leaks, we now have the first press render of the Nokia 9 flagship smartphone from HMD Global, thanks to @evleaks. This shows a familiar penta camera arragement arranged in 1-1-3 formation with ZEISS optics, rotating zoom-Camera tech on the back on the smartphone codenamed ‘Beholder’. It also reveals an in-display fingerprint sensor on the phone, which is the first for Nokia, as well as 18:9 aspect ratio display, glass back with Android One branding and a metal frame.

Nokia 9 PureView penta camera smartphone is delayed due to camera issues confirms HMD Global

HMD Global for some time is known to be working on the flagship Nokia 9 smartphone with PureView camera. In the latest developments, Britta Gerbracht, German marketing head at the Nokia 8.1 launch admitted that there had been some delays. The company explains that the quality of the camera has not yet reached the necessary level, which is why HMD Global has refrained from a market launch. Qualcomm and Nokia announce the completion of 5G NR mmWave and Sub-6 GHz Over-the-Air interoperability

Qualcomm Technologies and Nokia have announced that they have successfully achieved over-the-air (OTA) 5G NR data calls in both the mmWave and sub-6 GHz spectrum bands. It is in compliant with the global 3GPP 5G NR Release 15 specification in NSA mode. The interoperability testing milestones were completed at Nokia’s 5G center of excellence in Oulu, Finland using commercially available Nokia AirScale base stations and a test device powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem and antenna modules. HMD Global schedules an event in India on December 10, Nokia 8.1 with 6.18-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 710 expected

HMD Global has started sending out invites for the launch of a new smartphone in India on December 10th in Delhi. Based on the ‘Expect more’ teasers, the company is expected to launch the Nokia 8.1 at the event. It was supposed to happen on December 6th, now the event has been postponed to 10th.

HMD Global just launched the Nokia 7.1, the company’s latest mid-range Android One smartphone in India. It was introduced last month and packs a 5.84-inch Full HD+  19:9 screen with a notch, 80% screen-to-body ratio, has support for HDR and also supports SD to HDR real-time conversion. With HDR10 support; 1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio; 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video.The display also adapts to indoor and bright outdoor sunlight. The company calls it PureDisplay. It runs on Android 8.1 (Oreo), and recently got Android 9.0 (Pie) update. Nokia 8.1 (X7) with 6.18-inch FHD+ display, Snapdragon 710, Android Pie to go official on Dec 5 reveals marketing materials

As rumored earlier, Nokia X7 that was introduced in China last month, will be introduced as Nokia 8.1, codenmaed ‘Phoenix’ at an event in Dubai on December 5th, according to marketing materials that have surfaced online. There is no change in specifications, but this will run Android 9.0 (Pie) out of the box.
