HMD Global today announced an event in Dubai on December 5th to unveil three new smartphones. It has #expectmore. The company is expected to introduce the most expected Nokia 9, successor of the Nokia 8 and the Nokia 8 Sirocco at the event along with the Nokia 8.1 that will likely be the global version of the Nokia X7 that was introduced in China last month and the Nokia 2.1 Plus, successor of the Nokia 2.1 Android Oreo (Go edition) smartphone that was introduced earlier this year.
HMD Global has introduced new Nokia 106 feature phone as the successor of the old Nokia 106 that was introduced back in 2013. It has the same 1.8-inch (160 x 128 pixels) TFT display with 4-way Navi Key and the same 800mAh battery, but this promises 15.7 hours talk time.

Nokia has announced that its manufacturing unit in Chennai in South India has started manufacturing 5G New Radio (NR) based on the 3GPP 5G New Radio Release 15 standard. The Chennai plant is one of the largest telecom equipment manufacturing plant in the country. It has recently reached 4 million unit annual production milestone of 2G, 3G and 4G units. It has a 12-megapixel rear camera rear camera with ZEISS optics, Sony IMX363 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, OIS along with a 13-megapixel secondary camera for portrait shots and zoom.
