Huawei Ascend P6 Benchmarks

Huawei Ascend P6, the company’s latest flagship smartphone went on sale in India earlier this week. We brought you the unboxing of the device earlier today. Here we have the benchmarks of the device. The Ascend P6 has a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display based on in-cell LCD screen technology and is powered by a the Huawei’s own K3v2 processor developed by HiSilicon Technologies from Huawei. It has four 4 ARM Cortex A9 cores based on ARMv7 architecture. The chip is based on 40nm technology. It has a 16-core Vivante GC4000 GPU. Huawei Ascend P6 Unboxing

Nearly four months after its global launch, Huawei has finally brought the Ascend P6 to India. The Android smartphone is priced at Rs. 25,750. What makes this phone stand out in the massive Android market, is its absolute slim design. Aesthetics compliment the extremely light body that weighs mere 120 gms. It is one of the biggest launches by Huawei in 2013 and is expected to get a successor only next year !

Huawei Ascend G700 and G610 now available in India for Rs. 16500 and Rs. 12499

Huawei Ascend G700 and the Ascend G610 that appeared on official website last week, is now available from online retailer Infibeam in India. The Ascend G700 packs a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The G610 has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Both these  phones are powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processors, pack a 2150 mAh battery and run on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean). Huawei Ascend P6 with 4.7-inch HD display now available in India online for Rs. 25750

Huawei Ascend P6 was expected to launch in India back in August, but it was delayed, now the phone is available from online retailer Infibeam in India. It was announced back in June and packs a 4.7-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display based on in-cell LCD screen technology with responsive touch that works even when wearing gloves, powered by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with new Emotion UI. It has a 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor, F2.0 aperture and 4cm macro and 1080P full HD video recording and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with auto facial-enhancing capabilities for self portraits. Huawei is all set to launch range of Android smartphones, G700, G610, Y511 and Y320. All these smartphones have been listed on the official Huawei India website. The G700 has a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display, has a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. The G610 has a 5-inch (960 x 540 pixels) IPS display, 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Broadcom, Samsung and others partner to form MobileBench to improve mobile benchmarking

Broadcom, Huawei, OPPO, Samsung Electronics and Spreadtrum has partnered to form MobileBench, a new consortium for effective benchmarking of mobile devices. Nokia Lumia 925 vs Huawei Ascend P6

Slim is definitely in with manufacturers constantly looking to make their devices slimmer with even more features. With the Ascend P6, Huawei have come very close, packing a feature list including a 4.7 inch 720p screen, Quad-core processor and 8MP camera into a body just 6.2 mm thin.

In comparison, the Lumia 925 comes in at 8.5 mm with similar specs with the addition of a PureView camera and 4G LTE. Despite very clear differences, these hero devices share some design similarities. Without doubt, apple has had a lot of success with the slate design of their iPhones – from the iPhone 4 onwards, the design hasn’t really changed.

For rival manufacturers, the challenge has been to design hardware that is as appealing whilst also providing an easy to use yet functional user interface. In the Ascend P6, Huawei have aimed to do just that but have they been successful? Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8 Vs Huawei Ascend Mate

Huawei was the first company to step into the 6inch + phablet category with Ascend Mate. The Huawei Ascend Mate was announced way back in January during the CES 2013, but the phablet has been available in India only since June. Samsung’s biggest phablet until the Mega series arrived was their Galaxy Note 2 with a 5.5inch display that we compared with the Ascend Mate recently. To expand the phablet portfolio and to compete in the larger phablet race, Samsung launched two new phablets – Mega 5.8 and Mega 6.3 .

Huawei has announced the MediaPad 7 Youth, the company’s latest tablet in the MediaPad series. It has a 7-inch IPS display, powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core processor  and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top. It has 3G connectivity through a SIM card slot and supports voice calls, SMS, and MMS. It has a rear camera, a front-facing camera and has a sleek aluminum metal unibody design. Huawei unveiled the MediaPad 7 Vogue last month powered by a quad-core processor. Details such as display resolution, RAM and memory are not available yet, we will update you once we get more info.
