HTC’s unaudited 4Q 2013 results show small net profits amidst operating losses

HTC posted its first losses last quarter, even after the good performance of its flagship device – the One, and was expected to post huge losses this quarter too. Apparently, the Beats buy back seems to have provided some much needed cash for HTC, which has translated directly into small net profits for the company, after taxes. Today, HTC has posted its unaudited Q4 2013 results, with the numbers coming in at NT$42.89 billion(1.43 billion USD) of revenue with operating losses of NT$ 1.56 billion(52 million USD). However, as mentioned earlier, the company made back some of the money it lost on Beats earlier, with 31 million NT$(10.3 million USD) in net profits. These are currently “unaudited” and are usually published as guidance to shareholders before the real deal that will have the entire data.

HTC M8 Specifications leaked – Comes with Android 4.4 KitKat and Sense 6.0

Last year this time, we were hearing leaked specifications and rumors about HTC’s then flagship – HTC One which was known in the rumor mill as HTC M7. Today, we find ourselves in a similar position as rumors about HTC’s next flagship start coming in and HTC’s next flagship is reportedly codenamed HTC M8.

Most of the Android smartphone manufacturers fail to provide the newer Android version upgrades in time and we are inclined to believe that it is a very tough and long process. HTC too hasn’t been much different from the other manufacturers in providing updates for its smartphones on time. HTC One Dual SIM and One mini to get a price cut in India

HTC launched the HTC One Dual SIM, the dual SIM variant of the HTC One at an MRP of Rs. 53,590. The smartphone is expected to get a price cut in India and would be available at Rs. 42,990, according to Inetinfocom. The HTC One mini that was launched in India at an MOP of Rs. 36,790 would be available for Rs. 29,990 after the price cut. Remember the HTC Desire L that was released for the Chinese markets back in April? Now HTC has released the phone in Russia as Desire 400 Dual SIM. It has almost similar specifications as the Desire L, including a 4.3-inch (800 x 480 pixels) capacitive touch screen Super LCD2 display, 1 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4 UI on top. It has a 5MP auto focus camera on the back with LED Flash, BSI sensor for better low-light imaging and comes with Beats audio support. HTC One Max Red comes to Taiwan

Last week, HTC launched a black variant of their phablet, HTC One Max in Hong Kong and now they are launching a Red variant in their homeland, Taiwan. HTC One Max was launched recently in India and it is one of the costliest Android smartphones around in the market. HTC One Max takes over the same design language from the company’s flagship – HTC One and has almost exactly similar specifications and comes with a fingerprint scanner at the back.

HTC One Max Black Color launches in Hong Kong

HTC One Max, HTC’s first and only phablet device so far is now available in Black Color. At launch, the HTC One Max was available only in Silver. The Taiwanese company have now launched a black version of the huge device and it is currently on sale in Hong Kong along side the HTC One Gold.

It packs a 4.3-inch  (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.15 GHz dual-core NovaThor U8520 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Sense UI.  It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree ultra-wide-angle lens. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash, HTC Zoe with Sequence Shot, Always Smile and Object Removal, Gallery with Video Highlights and HTC Share and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera. HTC has launched Desire 700 dual sim, the company’s latest smartphone in the Desire series in India. It was announced last month in Taiwan and packs a  5-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels)  display, powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. It has a 8-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash, BSI sensor, 28mm lens, F 2.0 aperture, HTC Zoe and 1080p video recording and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI sensor. It has HTC BlinkFeed home screen and HTC BoomSound with Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers. It also comes with dual SIM dual active capability. It has a 4.3-inch  (480 × 800 pixels) display, powered by a 1.15 GHz dual-core NovaThor U8520 processor and runs on Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) with Sense UI.  It has a 8-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and BSI sensor and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degree ultra-wide-angle lens. It has NFC support, but misses dual SIM support present in the Desire 500. HTC has also launched the Desire 601 dual sim and the Desire 300 for the Taiwanese market.
