Google has announced new updates to the Chrome browser that are aimed at improving productivity. These include updates to the Tab Groups feature, a tablet-mode friendly way to navigate tabs, tab previews, the ability to fill PDFs before saving them and more.
Zoom has announced that they will soon integrate support for their video conferencing app to 3 smart displays – namely on the Amazon Echo Show, the Portal from Facebook, and the Google Nest Hub Max. This announcement is part of the Zoom for Home program, which aims to bring easier access to Zoom from smart display at your home.

Instagram has begun rolling out a new feature on their platform called Suggested Posts. It is essentially a new place to display ads on the app – at the end of your feed. Previously the app would simply show a “You’re All Caught Up” notice when you reached the end of your feed and now, it will begin showing suggested posts below the notice.

Google has announced an update to its Maps, bringing two visual features that will add a lot more detail in land features and in street information. With these two visual updates, users will be able to easily understand and visualise what an area looks like, simple through the map view itself.

It looks Google will soon offer only one video conferencing app, as they are reportedly looking into replacing their consumer focused Duo app with their enterprise focussed Meet app. The decision was made after Duo, Messages, and the Phone app was brought under the leadership of G Suite’s head Javier Soltero, who stated that it did not make sense for both apps to exist simultaneously.

Epic Games’ Battle Royale game Fortnite has been removed from both the App Store and the Play Store over issues that both Google and Apple claim to violate their Store policies. The violation was caused due to a new payment solution introduced by Fortnite called Epic Direct Payment, and now Epic Games is suing Apple and Google for anti-competitive restrictions in their app marketplace.
