Microsoft is expanding the reach of its Office apps and Skype to more partners. The software giant will pre-install the Office and Skype apps on Android tablets from OEMs like LG, Sony, Haier and others.

Microsoft has announced Cortana application for Android and for iPhone, after several rumors. It also introduced Phone Companion app for Windows 10, which will be built into Windows 10 that would let you connect your Windows PC to Windows phone, Android or iPhone so that you can set up and sync stuff from OneDrive, OneNote and more across your devices.

Twitter has finally launched its Periscope live streaming app launched for Android (4.4 or later). It was launched for iPhone back in March. Since then it has received several updates. Periscope lets you start a public or private broadcast, choose to allow comments from just those you follow, and interact with a broadcaster by chatting or sending hearts.
