Xiaomi has launched limited edition Pink, Blue and Yellow variants of the Mi 4i smartphone in India at the MIUI 7 launch event, to celebrate the arrival of MIUI 7. It was launched in India back in April in White color and the Dark Grey variant was launched in June. Swipe Technologies has launched ELITE, the company’s first smartphone in the online-only Elite sub-brand, exclusively on Flipkart, as it promised. It packs a 5-inch HD 2.5D cured glass display with 2mm narrow bezel, is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core processor and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop) with Swipe’s own Freedom OS. Meizu has announced that it has partnered with Snapdeal to sell its flagship MX5 smartphone in India. It had partnered with Amazon.in to sell its m1 note and the m2 note smartphones in the country. The MX5 has mBack touch-sensitive home button that offers different functions based on press, similar to the m2 note. It also has a mTouch 2.0 fingerprint sensor on the home button, comes with 4G connectivity with support for LTE bands for India. It has partnered with hardware manufacturer Infinix to launch Infinix Hot 2 Android One smartphone in 6 African countries – Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Morocco and Nigeria. Android One was launched in India first and got expanded to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Turkey, Myanmar, Pakistan and Thailand.
