Lenovo has announced Vibe S1 Lite, its new selfie-focus smartphone ahead of CES 2016. The company introduced Vibe S1 with dual selfie cameras back in IFA 2015 in September, which was launched in India in November. The Vibe S1 Lite doesn’t have dual selfie cameras, but it has an 8-megapixel camera on the front with Sony sensor and a soft LED flash for capturing better images even in low lighting conditions. Asus announced Zenfone Max with a 5000mAh battery at the ZenFestival in India back in August last year, finally it has launched the smartphone in the country. It has a 5.5-inch HD screen, is powered by a Snapdragon 410 SoC and runs on Android 5.0 (Lollipop). It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with real-tone LED flash, Laser auto focus and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has dual SIM support with 4G connectivity on both.
OPPO today announced that it will launch camera-centric ‘F series’ smartphones this year. F1 will be the first phone in the series, which will launch later this January. “The F series is rooted in a growing global demand for premium-quality mobile photography experiences, and in research that has indicated a strong consumer recognition that OPPO shoots great photos. LG introduced V10, the company’s flagship smartphone in the new V series back in October. We already brought you the unboxing and the benchmarks of the smartphone, here we have the battery test results. The LG V10 packs a 3,000mAh removable battery with Quick Charge 2.0 support and Fast Charging. It has a 5.7-inch Quad HD In-cell Touch Quantum display along with a 2.1-inch (160 x 1040 pixels) IPS Quantum display, is powered by a hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor and runs on Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop). The last week of 2015, Xiaomi announced a new Mi TV 3 with a massive 70-inch 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels) display from Sharp. It introduced the 60-inch Mi TV 3 with a 11.6mm metal frame back in October, the new 70-inch version has a slightly thicker 12.9mm aluminum alloy frame and it is 38.6mm at its thickest. LG started rolling out Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) update for its flagship LG G4 smartphone starting from Poland back in October. Now the Korean giant has started rolling out (Via) Android Marshmallow update for the LG G3 smartphone starting from Poland. It is currently available only via PC Suite, and the OTA update is expected soon. The smartphone got the official CM13 nightly builds based on Android 6.0 last month. Google has confirmed that it is biding adieu to Oracle’s proprietary Java application programming interfaces (APIs) for its next iteration of Android. The company is switching over to OpenJDK for Android N which was first spotted by users on Y Combinator’s Hacker News and confirmed by Venturebeat later.
